Deception
knows no limits. Passion knows no bounds.
When she is
kidnapped, Senorita Isabella knows the men have been sent by her uncle in a
murderous attempt to control her family’s fortune. But when she is rescued by a
dashing and mysterious warrior, Isabella can’t imagine why a stranger would
risk his life for her—until she discovers her rescuer believes she’s someone
else….
Fernando de
Zayas loves nothing more than the cry of battle. Defying death is his way of
life. But when he discovers his betrothed has been kidnapped, he rushes to her
aid—never suspecting that spirited beauty would soothe his warrior heart…
With her uncle’s minions close on their heels, Isabella finds
herself drawing closer to Fernando. But as the desire between them builds, her
secret could keep them apart forever…

Excerpt:
On
a shuddering breath, Isabella searched the market for any means of escape and
found none. Too many people pressed close with no clear route from the area. If
only she could see what was behind her, she might find a way out.
A
quick glance showed even more people and cramped stalls, proving how trapped
she was. The eunuch’s high-pitched shout suddenly rose above the slaver’s angry
growl. Wanting away from them, she inched back. The eunuch dashed to her right,
blocking her. The slaver to her left and reached for her robe.
Piercing
wails filled the heated air.
Isabella
stiffened. The slaver’s hand fell from her. He and the eunuch turned toward the
sounds. Two dark-robed women pressed their hands to their veiled mouths.
Children had stopped playing, their youthful eyes widened in wonder or fear at
an aged man. His white beard trailed down his chest, and infirmity bent his
tall frame, forcing him to keep his face lowered. He wore a turban and full
robe, the voluminous fabric hiding the contours of his body.
Suddenly,
he thrust his hand into a fire used to cook some manner of food.
Many
in the crowd gasped. A young girl backed into a basket of olives, toppling it.
The fruit rolled across the ground until it reached a pool of spilled honey
where a black cat prowled.
The
aged man kept his hand in the fire without bellowing in pain. He chose three
smoking coals, tossing the hot embers from his right hand to his left much as
jugglers did at fairs with brightly colored balls.
This
was no fair nor was he a juggler, but a fakir,
a holy man.
Isabella
had heard tales of such beings who traveled the Arab territories. Fakirs had no
homes or commerce, begging for food as they roamed from place to place,
performing amazing feats to shock everyone, as he did now. Merchants, free
women, and children waited to see what the strange man would do next.
With
no one watching her, Isabella prepared to break into a run, to lose herself in
the throng.
The
fakir tilted his face and met her gaze.
Her
heart caught. His eyes were arresting and strangely beautiful, his gaze so
intent she stepped back. His expression changed. With a hard frown, he seemed
to warn her to remain where she was. He turned to the eunuch and slaver, crying
to them in Arabic, his voice reedy with age.
Her
stomach churned. Was he warning them of her intent to flee?
When
he looked back at her, raw power lit his expression, holding her to the spot.
Even
if she’d wanted to move, she couldn’t now. The eunuch and slaver stared at her.
The
air grew heavier than before and far too still. The slaver adjusted his weight
from foot to foot as he and the eunuch spoke to the fakir. The holy man
answered in kind, juggling the hot coals. He drew closer to them, his movements
inefficient and tottering, no different from a babe. The slaver stepped back.
The eunuch did not. His shrill voice rose in what sounded like an oath. The
fakir hobbled closer, the hot coals jumping more slowly between his hands. At
last he responded, his voice low.
The
eunuch scowled and shouted a string of foul-sounding words. The fakir grabbed
the eunuch’s throat, pressing the hot coals to it. Squealing in agony, the
eunuch fell to the ground, rocking and mewling.
Frightened
sounds rippled through the crowd. The holy man spoke to the spectators, who
exchanged glances with each other and shuffled back.
The
fakir grabbed more hot coals from another fire and staggered toward the slaver.
Unlike the eunuch, the slaver offered no retort as he stepped back quickly. The
fakir followed. It was a strange dance, the fakir plodding forward a step, the
slaver retreating the same distance as he focused on the newest coals.
Again,
Isabella realized no one noticed her. Before she could think to escape, the
fakir was at her side, clutching her hair in his free hand, shouting at the
others.
Again,
they backed away.
He
yanked Isabella toward him and whispered in Castilian, “When I release you,
grasp your throat and cry out. Your freedom and life depend upon it. Do you
understand?”
Her
heart hammered so wildly she could barely breathe, much less think. With no
time to consider why he would help her, she nodded.
The
fakir shouted something to the others then brought the coals close enough for
her to feel their heat. She clutched her throat and wailed.
The
slaver spoke hurriedly, his words seeming to beg for mercy.
The
fakir lifted the hot coals to his mouth and blew. Flames poured from his parted
lips. Screams tore through the crowd with more than a few bolting.
The
fakir gripped her wrist, his touch steel.
Again,
he lifted the coals to his lips. Flames shot out of his mouth, which he
directed to the black silk hanging on a stall. The cloth caught fire. He
bolted, pulling her with him.
She
struggled to keep up as they dashed through the narrow streets of the market,
past stalls and startled people. Behind them, men shouted. She glanced over.
Guards pursued them. The fakir ran faster, forcing her to follow. They darted
down one cramped street after another. He knocked over goods deliberately. Both
of them dodged buyers. Finally, he rushed into an unattended shop offering a variety
of baskets.
Before she could question why this place was
empty of a merchant or buyers, the fakir pushed her toward a shadowed corner
near the entrance and shielded her with his body. She was so close to him her
face and breasts pressed against his surprisingly muscular back. He shifted his
weight. An object beneath his robe tapped her knee. She looked down at a long,
thin outline hidden by the fabric. A sword?

Excerpt
I had to touch him on his bike, to press my arms and thighs around him so I wouldn’t fall off. He was solid. I don’t know what I’d expected but, for some reason, that surprised me. I felt fear as well as something else I didn’t understand, something that made me tremble all over. I told myself it was just the exhilaration of speeding along the highway with the cooling wind rushing past my arms. He didn’t ride towards civilisation but took us even further beyond Gaunt House ruins. I had no idea how long we were out there but it must have been a long ride because the light started to change. I wondered if Cain could feel how hard my heart was thumping with it pressed against his back like that. When we finally arrived back the others’ cars were at the ruin. He cut the engine as we coasted to a halt. I let my arms fall reluctantly but stayed where I was.
“Where did you go, when you went out the other night?”
I felt Cain go tense and it took him a moment to answer. “What do you mean?”
“And last week. Where did you go? What’s the big secret?” I twisted around him, trying to see his face.
When he glanced down at me I knew for certain I was right. There was a secret. I nudged his back with my shoulder.
“I don’t know what …” he said, his tone mechanical.
My frustration surged. “I’m not going to let it go. You’ve invited me back here so what’s the secret? I bet the other three know. Tell me!” He didn’t answer. “We can do this the easy way or the hard way.” I shocked myself with this tough guy attitude. “Are you choosing the hard way?”
Cain was startled, too. “What are you going to do?”
I just slipped off the seat, leaving him to put the bike on its stand and follow me into the ruin.
“Francesca!”
I heard from his hurried footsteps that he wanted to talk to me before we went inside but I didn’t trust myself not to betray what I was feeling; this big … huge … massive desire, just barely disguised by frustration. I knew the other three were inside. It would be safe in there. We wouldn’t be able to have this conversation anymore. I just needed to make it inside before he caught up to me. After a swift clamber down the ladder I rushed blindly for the door but somehow Cain caught my hand to stop me an instant before I threw the door open.
“Francesca.” He breathed my name warm against my neck.
A hot, uncomfortable flush hit me when Liz, Owen, and Jude saw my hand caught in Cain’s, although he made an attempt to pull his away. Too late. They’d seen our breathless awkwardness, dishevelled hair, and tangled fingers.
Praise for Downfall…

Spotlight on Ghosts of Trenton House by Libby Bishop
Title: Ghosts of Trenton House
Series: Revenant Investigations, Book Two
Buy Here
Empath and paranormal investigator Lena Tompson is enjoying a night of relaxation when she’s interrupted by a phone call from her boss. She hurries to the office, still in her pajamas, and finds herself face to face with the once love-of-her-life.
Knox Trenton, also an empath, has a problem: his beloved great grandmother has accidently conjured the spirit of her dead sister while trying to find the spirit of her dearly departed husband, who died decades earlier. The sisters have fought bitterly since his death.
As the case heats up, so do Lena’s feelings for Knox. She doesn’t know how long she can hold back the tide of emotions, especially when she realizes that Knox has feelings for her as well. She can only hope that trusting him doesn’t tear her apart as deeply as his own family will be torn if they fail to stop the fighting.
Oh, how Lena Tompson wished she was still at home, curled up on the couch watching Pride and Prejudice—the Colin Firth version, of course—instead of at the Revenant Investigations office for an emergency meeting. But that wish wasn’t going to come true. When her boss, Folger, had called they all knew to come immediately. She had and now Knox Trenton, the former love-of-her-life, sat in her boss’s office with his forehead creased from worry.
“I’m very sorry to drag you all here at this hour,” Knox said. “But there’s an emergency at Trenton House.”
Arabella Pierce—coworker, medium, and Lena’s best friend—spoke up. “What do you mean?” she asked.
Knox rubbed his eyes. Lena could feel just how worried he was. Having grown up with and seriously dated Knox, she knew this wasn’t normal for him. Something had to be dreadfully wrong in order for him to be bleeding emotions so strongly. As a high-level empath, he was very good at guarding himself, unless unduly stressed or tired.
Lena reached out with her own empathic gifts to search his feelings, and a brick wall slammed down.
“Nana has done something,” he replied, dread lightly imbedded in his tone.
Oh, dear. When his great-grandmother did something to earn that tone of voice it normally meant another feud was brewing with someone, probably a family member. The elderly spitfire was too fiery for her own good, at times. “What did Imogene do?”
“You both know the story of my great-grandmother and her twin sister, Ruth.”
“Hard to forget,” Arabella replied.
While the story was well known, not many knew the details as Lena and Arabella did. He’d told them in Junior High. And a hell of a story it was.
He turned to Folger. “I’m going to tell you the story, but I ask that you keep it to yourself, for your records. This is a very sensitive issue.”
Folger raised his hand. “What you tell us goes no further than this room.”
Knox sighed. “Thank you. My great-aunt Ruth conjured my great-grandpa Duke’s spirit when he died of a heart attack in his mid-thirties. She wanted to punish her sister for allowing him into the family and betraying her. Their father trusted Duke and had learned to love him as a son, so he willed Trenton House to Duke and Nana. Ruth was furious with her sister for allowing such a thing, saying she was betrayed, even though their father left her and her husband well over five hundred thousand dollars and the country house at the edge of town.” He paused, sighing. “Most of the family believes her objection was solely about Duke’s name being put on the house. I think it’s safe to say if it had been just Nana’s name on the deed, Ruth wouldn’t have been so vehement about the whole thing.”
Lena had been to that country house a few times—a beautiful home, on a lovely four-acre plot of land. But Duke being willed Trenton House and watching it fall into his hands, even with Imogene there, had only been the beginning––the spark, to ignite the rest of the Trentons’ sisterly feud.
Lena had seen no real ‘ill will’ between Knox and his cousins, but their parents… Well, there was a reason she never liked going to the family get-togethers. Their barely veiled animosity was like ice, cracking against her skin. Knox tried to shield her from most of it, but the intensity was too great for him to block it all. Lena tolerated events the best she could, but finally admitted they’d taken a toll on her, and her view of their relationship.
“And no one knows where Ruth trapped Duke’s spirit,” Arabella said, leaning back against the couch and crossing her legs. “Ruth took that information to the grave.” “Knox,” Folger said, “tell them what Imogene did.”
Hesitation lightly touched the air, held clear in his dark brown eyes when he glanced at her. All thoughts of their past momentarily fled when Lena saw it—something was very wrong, all right, and worry twisted her gut. “Knox?”
He fidgeted in his chair, until he settled for sitting with his back completely straight as if someone had pulled a string upward, and rested his hands on the arms of the chair.
“Nana…raided Ruth’s crypt at our family’s private cemetery and stole a necklace from her coffin.”
Lena’s mouth dropped in shock. “She did what?”
“That’s not all. When she returned to the house and tried to call her husband’s spirit to her, she ended up summoning Ruth instead.”
“Oh my God,” Lena whispered.

Spotlight on Waking the Lioness by Amber Morgan
Blog
I love a good story. Sometimes I love the story behind the story even more. I signed the contract for WAKING THE LIONESS back in October 2015, but the plot twist is that this is the second time I’ve signed a contract with Evernight for this story.
Five years ago, I submitted WAKING THE LIONESS to Evernight for one of their anthologies, under a now-defunct pen name. It was accepted, giving me a few firsts: my first title with Evernight, my first erotic paranormal romance, and my first menage story. Huzzahs! I never wrote anything else under that pen name (lack of time more than anything else), but when the rights to WAKING THE LIONESS reverted to me last Autumn, I felt like it it would be a shame to just tuck it away in a virtual box and never do anything with it again.
I gave it a good, critical going-over (five years gives you a lot of time to mentally re-write something, and I must admit, there were a few lines in the original version that made me cringe on-re-reading). I added a bit, changed a bit, and realised it really felt like a story in vein of EXILED ALPHA – strong men, passionate women, and sizzling sex.
So I asked Evernight if they’d like to see the improved version, and they said yes. And then they offered me a brand new contract for it. Huzzahs! So my first release of 2016 is also the re-release of my first story with Evernight – I quite like that symmetry. I can’t wait for you to meet Lara, Zane, and Tate!

Excerpt
Zane turned his fierce gaze on her, the heat in his eyes forcing her back a little. “You left Malkin Ridge for this?” he demanded. “Serving booze and getting hit on by scrawny creeps like him? Jesus, Lara.”
Face burning, Lara grabbed his arm again and dragged him out of Alchemy. The eyes of the entire room were on her. She saw Luc watching with a frown on his face. This wasn’t going to go down well with him—Luc hated trouble in the bar.
Outside, Lara leaned against the wall, running her hands over her hair. If she’d felt hot and sticky before, she was positively boiling now. The last person she’d ever expect to see in New Orleans was Zane. And yet here he was, larger than life and twice as sexy as she remembered. The shock of seeing him doubled by the second. “You…. What are you doing here, Zane?”
He shoved his hands into his jeans pockets, glowering at the cigarette butts littering the pavement. “I didn’t come looking for you, if that’s what you’re worried about.”
Her heart sank, and she scolded herself silently for her disappointment. She’d left Malkin Ridge to get away from Zane, hadn’t she? Away from the whole Malkin Ridge mountain lion community. She should be pleased he wasn’t here for her. Shouldn’t she?
“Then it’s just coincidence you strolled into my bar?” she challenged when he lapsed into silence.
He stared out at the river, face dark and drawn. People pushed past them, and Lara smelled frying onions, lime, and shrimp from the grill next door. The air over the river shimmered, and Zane seemed fascinated by it. For a few long minutes she thought he wouldn’t answer—and how like him that would be—but eventually he sighed heavily and turned back to her.
“I’m looking for someone. A friend. Tate Beckett.” He fumbled in his pockets again and pulled out a battered leather wallet. He flipped it open to show Lara a photo. A golden-haired youth smiled at her from the picture. He had classic mountain lion coloring—blonde, blue-eyed, fair skinned. Very attractive. He probably wasn’t as young as he looked if he was a shapeshifter.
“He’s missing?” she asked. Stupid question, of course. Zane wouldn’t be here looking otherwise. Something about Zane always robbed her of her wits.
“He came down here three weeks ago to visit family and never came back,” Zane confirmed. “He was supposed to be back in Malkin Ridge three days ago. We spoke. He had his flight booked and everything.” He chewed his lip, anxiety marring his handsome features. “I came down here, scouted around, smelled mountain lion…. I didn’t expect it to be you, Lara.”
He looked at her properly for the first time, his eyes softening, scowl relaxing. “It’s good to see you,” he added. He reached for her, brushed a damp lock of hair from her cheek. His fingers barely made contact with her skin but his touch was still electric, sending little lightning bolts dancing over her skin and down between her legs. She shivered.

Spotlight on One Hour Girl by LeTeisha Newton
One Hour Girl, The Lost Series Book #1
Genre: Comtemporary Romance
From International Bestselling Author, LeTeisha Newton, February 29th, 2016!
Celeste Askew isn’t perfect. Not by far. Her childhood was dark and destructive, her family torn apart by greed and secrets.
So she learned to cope.
During her days she’s a paralegal in a prestigious firm. But by night, she’s an escort, addicted to dangerous situations, rough sex, and money. This is what she knows, what she craves, and what keeps her stable.
Ms. Perfection is kept happy because Ms. Whore keeps the darkness at bay.
Until she meets Royce Mattherson, L.A.’s most eligible bachelor, and billionaire. Not that his life was much better. His past was just as dark, just as twisted, and they find that they can give each other those dirty moments. Love wasn’t supposed to be a part of it.
It never was.
Her heart is off limits, and he doesn’t have one to give. The found a way to break the rules anyway.
He thinks I’m his forever girl, I saw it in his eyes. I wished I could have slapped the look off his face and hit him with the same jarring finality I’d learned I didn’t mean shit.
I’m not a forever sort of girl.
I’m not even his for the night.
He’ll be lucky if I’m his for the next hour if he doesn’t pay me for it.
And then Royce Mattherson stormed my defenses. Took all the poison inside of me and pushed it out through my pores. He tasted the taint on my skin and still decided to love me. He terrifies me. Exhilarates me. Frustrates me.
And he always gets what he wants.
Always…
I watched Celeste’s eyes widen and she tried to shift from under me, coming out of the daze as she looked over at the hustling waiter. I gripped her hips, pinning her beneath me.
“You aren’t going anywhere,” I assured her. “You seemed to have ruined my dinner, and I’m famished.”
I licked my lips, feeling desire and pride swell within me as her gaze tracked my movement and a warm flush appeared under her skin. I pressed my hips between her legs, hissing at the heat of her pussy against my cloth covered cock.
“I think I’ve found something to eat…right…here,” I told her, letting go of her hip to push my hand between us and cup her sex.
She moaned, head tossed back. I waited long enough for the waiter to run behind the counter and away before I claimed her mouth again. This was my place, my money, my rules. No one would disturb us, and I wanted to see how wild she could get. I wanted to control her.
I rubbed my fingers against her in a circular motion as I devoured her mouth. She gripped at my jacket, pushing it off my shoulders. It couldn’t fall to the floor because I wouldn’t stop caressing her, but it was out of her way enough that she went for my shirt next. Buttons popped as she ripped my shirt open and ran her nails down my chest.
Ground zero.
My cock was hard and pulsing in my pants. I moved my hand from between us and ground against her. She cried out, rolling her hips against me. I liked that. I fucking loved how she gave into her passion. She didn’t fight it, she didn’t apologize for it. The way she responded to me made me feel like a god.
I sucked my way down the side of her neck, paying attention to any hitch of breath, and shift of her body. I noticed that her nails dug when I nipped over her pulse. She sucked in a breath when I traced her cleavage with my tongue. Her breath rushed out in a whoosh when I pulled the neck of her dress down far enough to suck her nipple into my mouth, bra and all.
I noted it all, and logged it to memory. She was mine. So what if it didn’t make sense? So what if I was fighting an uphill battle against a woman who didn’t believe in giving herself. We weren’t talking about love. We were talking about enjoying a spark with another person that we’d never feel again.
I could give her everything she needed, but the emotions. She just needed to learn that people like us? That’s all we needed. I let her nipple go long enough to pull her into my arms and force the dress up and over her head. I tossed the dress over my shoulder as I used my other hand to pop her bra. By the time she lay back on the table she only had her delicate black thong and heels on.
Beautiful.
Her breasts were slightly rosy with desire. It was such a pretty color against her bronze flesh. I captured her slightly darker nipple in my mouth, grinding my hips against her. Her fingers tunneled through my hair as she held me to her. Rolling her nipple with my tongue just to hear her cry out again, I traced the inside of her thighs.
“So pretty. How good will you taste?” I asked her. I kissed my way down over her stomach, stopping long enough to dip my tongue in her navel. Her body shook under my hands. Or maybe it was my hands. I didn’t know, and I didn’t care. The most important thing for me was to drink her down. To hear her scream my name.
I nuzzled her groin. It was bare, and the skin there was smooth. I nipped the sensitive flesh and then licked away the sting. Her skin was like spun honey, sticky and moist, and so fucking amazing. The crease on the inside of her thigh where it met her groin demanded attention and I followed the line down with my tongue.
I took a moment to sit back and grab my chair. I sat back down and looked at her pussy. My breath came out hard and raspy as I admired the tight lips and nub peeking out from its hood. Moisture leaked out of her, making her shine. All for me. I’d done that. Gripping the backs of her thighs, I pushed her legs up and out.
“Royce—” she started by I popped her ass to shut her up.
“You chose this, and it’s what I want. Has anyone, ever, just pleased you? Have you ever had someone who couldn’t think of their own pleasure because it was intrinsically combined with yours?”
She stared at me, so I popped her ass again.
“Answer me.”
“No,” she said finally. “Never.”
“You won’t be able to say that after tonight,” I promised her.

Royce, thought we’d ask you some questions to talk about yourself so everyone gets to know you. Is that okay?
I can’t exactly say no, can I?
Be nice Royce, it’s going to be good.
I am nice, love. Just ask Celeste.
*cough* Yes, well, shall we begin? What’s your greatest fear?
Greatest fear? If you ask my enemies, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Ask Celeste, she’d say losing her. And she’s mostly right. Because losing her means I’ve failed, and that is something I can’t do. I just cant. I failed once before, as a child. I…well I can’t go into that now. But, I will forever regret not standing up when I could have. I will never fail Celeste, so I will never lose her.
How was it to see your love story in a book?
Odd, to say the least. I’m not one for having everyone in my business. But to see what we went through, the things Celeste had in her mind…it makes me love her more. She thought she never had a chance, and I wasn’t willing to let her go on believing that. It’s because of the things she went through that she was PERFECT for me. We are perfectly imperfect together, and that’s okay. I’m fine with people seeing that.
What is you motto?
Never lose. That simple. Any more questions?
Does Celeste know you are treating me like this?
No, and if you tell her, or do anything to upset her, you know exactly how I can be. How about we leave it at that, hmm?
*eyeroll* You and I both know you’re a softy, Mr. Alpha Male. How about one last question? What, or who, is your greatest treasure?
Easy question, but one that I can’t answer fully. You’d have to read the book to find out why, but we will say Celeste is half of it. And I’m feeling in the mood to show her just how much right now.

ADULT EXCERPT
He stroked her palm, and when she didn’t pull her hand away, hope began to build. He wanted to push the emotion away and stop this, but he couldn’t. This girl had captivated him, and he was powerless in her presence.
“Why do you say that? Why do you think you need to?”
She gazed at him with dry eyes now, filled with clarify and purpose. “Because I’m ready to move on. I’m ready to start living again. I don’t want to dishonor his memory, but he’d want me to be happy and I’m not. I don’t mean in my work. I love my work. I mean…”
He sighed because he knew exactly what she meant. “You mean you’re lonely, right? Your days are filled with meaningful things to do, but then at night, when the fake sun goes down, the dark creeps in and you wish you could change everything about your life, but you don’t know how or where to start.”
She stared at him as if he had lobsters crawling on his face. “How did you do that?” she whispered. “How did you reach into my head and nail it, just like that?”
“Because I feel the same way, Rissa.”
“But … forgive me, but you’re in the tabloids constantly. You’re never without a date.”
“It’s a ruse. I don’t want to be that person any longer.”
She looked really uncomfortable, glanced at the pitcher, which was nearly empty, and pulled her hand out of his grasp. Then she pushed her margarita glass away. “Guess we’ve both had enough to drink.”
“I’m not drunk. And I’m sorry if you feel I’ve said too much. You’re very easy to be with and talk to.”
“You talk to people all the time, Barclay.”
He took her hand again, unable to stop himself. He wanted this woman, and he knew she wanted him, too. He could feel it in the air, hanging between them, and it wasn’t the tequila talking. “Yes, I do, but there’s something about you that has me spellbound, Rissa.”
She definitely wasn’t drunk, but then neither was he, and as she pulled her hand away again and rose, he realized he needed to tell her that.
“Barclay, don’t misunderstand me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work on this project with you, but I have no intentions of becoming your next conquest. I think we need to make some coffee or drink some water, or something. Then we should get back to work.”
She picked up the pitcher and their glasses, and he followed her into the kitchen. “I’m not drunk.”
“Good to know.”
“Rissa, you want me as much as I want you.”
He saw her back stiffen, and then watched her place the pitcher and glasses on the counter, but she didn’t turn to face him.
“You do, don’t you?” He spoke softly now, not wanting to frighten her.
“Not the point.”
“It’s exactly the point.”
“I’m not going to do this.” Her voice shook, but not from fear. She was as aroused as he was.
“Why not?”
“I told you.”
“I don’t want to conquer you. I just want to make love to you.”
“You don’t even know me.”
“You’re worked for me almost a year. I do know you.”
She finally turned to face him, and his damn dick was so hard now it was painful. The look on her face made him want to hold her for the rest of his life.
“The last man I had sex with was Harry. That was over seven years ago.”
He hadn’t expected that. Barclay’s feet finally worked, and he moved toward her slowly. When he reached where she stood, he resisted the urge to simply pull her into his arms. Instead he placed a hand on each shoulder, and the shaky intake of her breath tugged at his heart. She blinked against wet eyes again, and he hoped like hell it wasn’t because she suddenly wished she was anywhere but here.
“Then I will be very, very careful.”

Taming the Beast, Book 3
No one believes that under the tough attitude and schoolgirl fashion sense, reformed demon Zoe burns for a man, love, and sex. She keeps those urges on ice and well hidden. She sold her soul for a guy once, and all it got her was a one-way ticket to Hell.
Her job, keeping supernatural creatures in line at From Crud to Stud, is all work and no play. Until she’s saddled with a trio of new enforcers who ooze so much sexual heat she’s afraid to be on the same planet with them.
Stefin, Anatol, and Taro try to contain their laughter as their adorable new boss tries to lay down the law. Apparently, no one told her they don’t take orders. They give them. And they’re determined to smooth her rough edges and tame her beast with acts so wanton they’ll make her scream—for more.
Talk about all hell breaking loose. Surrender won’t come easily, but given their devilish charm and her aching need, her journey to submission is one done deal.
Warning: Contains an unholy trio of demons who don’t like to take turns. Break room… snacking. After-hours…training sessions. In other words, a sensual ride on the pleasure express. Features m/f/m/m sex in every flavor except vanilla. Bring. It. On.

Excerpt:
Becca stopped fingering the edge of her short red hair. “I don’t want you to keep killing yourself by working so hard.”
“How could I do that?’ She frowned. “I’m immortal.”
“That’s not what I meant.” Becca waved her hand dismissively. “I want you to enjoy your
work.”
That funny feeling returned, making Zoe queasy. “Who says I don’t? Oh, hey, is this about Daemon horning in on more of my stuff? Uh-uh. He’s already keeping the clients in line for the other staff. I don’t need him to do that for me. I’m capable. Hell, I’m a better enforcer than him. I do not want—”
“No problem,” Becca cut in and then blurted, “Stefin, Anatol and Taro will be here for that from now on.”
Footfalls suddenly rang in the hall. Three men who looked to be in their early thirties strode into Becca’s office, their movements fluid and assured, each of them dressed in black, their shirts made of silk, their boots and pants dressy, like bouncers at an elite club. No one was boogying in here, especially Zoe as she caught the unholy trio’s faint sulfur scent. Oh shit. Pinpoints of flame flared briefly in their eyes, proving they were demons. The trouble she’d sensed earlier.
Too stunned to speak or to move, she simply stared. The guy in the middle was easily six-three and nicely muscular with blond shoulder-length hair, his rough good looks, bronze complexion and stubble virile to the extreme. There was a hint of sin, dangerous and predatory, in his light gray eyes. Her belly fluttered at the thought of him on top of her, his strong legs pushing hers apart, his hand sliding up her—
She stopped before completing the smutty thought, noticing the ornate tat on the back of his left hand. A stylized goat’s head…the mark of the devil. He winked. Zoe’s legs went watery, disquiet and lust rolling through her. Ignoring both, she turned to the guy on his right and had to lock her knees again to keep standing. Equally tall and powerfully built, he was simply beautiful with rich-chocolate skin, dark eyes and long hair worn in dreadlocks that would feel awesome gliding across her naked boobs and thighs. Stop it.
Zoe tried to push her X-rated fantasies away and steel herself against his allure. He smiled. A freaking dimple dented his right cheek. His grin was an unusual mixture of boyish mischief and raw sensuality that creamed her pussy. Tearing her attention from him, she studied the last guy. Hot didn’t begin to describe his masculine features, deep-blue eyes and thick, wavy hair a dark shade of auburn. Those locks trailed past his ears and curled at the base of his neck. His stubble called to everything female within Zoe, the same as his height, big
body and the assured way he regarded her. Beneath the enticing fragrance of sulfur, she caught their musky scents, wanton and unashamed, surely the same fragrance as their cocks. She imagined their shafts jutting from nests of blond, black or auburn curls, their balls meaty and lightly furred.
The room spun.
“Guys,” Becca said, “this is Zoe.”
Becca’s introduction seemed to have come from miles away. Zoe tried to respond but only managed a noise somewhere between a grunt and a groan. Becca edged closer. “Zoe, this is Anatol.” She gestured to the black hunk with the dimple. “Stefin.” The blond god in the middle winked again. “And Taro.” The blue-eyed hottie continued to regard her intensely. “They’re our new enforcers.”
Each of them looked as if he’d been in charge forever and wouldn’t budge one damn inch for anyone, especially a female demon. “You’ll be working with them from now on,” Becca added.
Working with or for, as in taking orders, yearning helplessly and then losing out as she had with the last man in her life? Like hell.

Callum Blake growled and grabbed his forearm. He opened his clenched fist as the nails on his hand morphed into long dark claws. He gritted his teeth and closed his eyes as he fought the urge to shift. He pounded the tree and glanced up at the night sky and prayed in agony to the wolf goddess. He pleaded for help. He’d take anything she had to offer if it would provide even the smallest amount of relief.
Nothing. The pain continued. He shook his head and grimaced in an attempt to remove the fog that was starting to shroud his mind. He silently cried out to her again.
Why are you silent? You’re the reason I took this mission and now you’re allowing me to suffer?
His frustration mingled with his physical pain, adding to his misery. The beast fought its way to the surface. He opened his mouth and howled. A mixture of a roar and a yell, it relieved some of the tension within him, but it did not drive away the urge to shift. Leaning against the tree, he dug his claws into the bark, burrowing deep grooves as he exerted his strength against the muscle contraction. His pulse pounded in his ears as sweat poured down on his face. Unlike his wolf self who resided peacefully inside of him, his lycan did not have the same kind of placating nature. It yielded only to the strongest of commands exerted to it from his mind. It was supposed to live in harmony just as his inner wolf, but it refused.
For wolf shifters, their human and wolf self were like two individuals abiding in one nature. One innately human, sharing some of the same abilities and desires as regular people only with keener senses and more powerful instincts. The other, their wolf side was wild and untamed. It acted on a gut responses, using its innate sixth sense to interact with the world around it. The wolf freely gave into its passions, choosing strength and cunning over calculated reasoning.
The lycan, however, was a being whose nature lived far beyond that of the wolf. Not present in all wolf shifters, it was like a curse of their wolf self causing them to revert to a primitive version of their wolf self. Acting on impulse and rage, the lycan did not use reason or soft emotions like joy, love, and happiness, it understood violence.

Conway Witches, 1
Blurb:
Love that is forbidden is always the sweetest…
Elodie Conway is the owner of The Black Magic Café, where love and chocolate go hand-in-hand. She runs the enchanted café with her cousin Madison, and together, they help lovers tie the knot with the assistance of a few spells and some delectable chocolate recipes.
When journalist Jason Thibedeaux, who is also a werewolf from a rival family, runs a scathing critique of her business in his newspaper, the fur is sure to fly. He visits the café to sample their most famous culinary delights, and ends up wanting far more than what’s on the menu. Can a Thibedeaux wolf and a Conway witch truly be fated to love each other for all eternity?
This is a previously published work. It has been edited for Evernight Publishing.

Excerpt:
Elodie Conway was nothing like he had expected. As he ate her signature cake, all Jason wanted to do was savor her lips and run his hands down her very ample hips. Hers was a body a man could hold onto during sex and not break her. His wolf was awakened, and it prowled just beneath the surface. What Jason saw, he liked. Very much indeed…
The chocolate wound through his system, and with each bite, all other preoccupying thoughts faded into nothing. Images of him thrusting deep inside of her and winding his fist in her mane of dark hair flashed in front of his eyes, and he almost choked. His hands trembled as they reached for the bottle of water she’d set in front of him.
What the hell was that?
He twisted the cap and drank the entire small bottle in one go. As a journalist, he had little time for romance. A quick tumble in the moonlight during one of his runs, maybe, but this girl was something special––he didn’t know why he didn’t notice it before. Jason took another bite of cake and shifted his weight as his erection made its presence known. He could take her here, right over the top of the table, her heart-shaped ass in the air as he sank his cock deep in her pussy and fucked her until she screamed his name.
His wolf liked the idea. A whole fucking lot. Jason laid down the fork and smiled. Standing up on shaking legs, he picked up his now empty plate. Things were about to get interesting. This wasn’t just any woman. He raised his nose to the air and scented her.
Mate.
She was his fucking mate. How could he have been so blind? Did it take a hard-on for his wolf to get through to him? Apparently, because his wolf was ready to claim her by any means necessary, even it meant fucking her over the top of one of her own tables.
