Get Healthy
There are a lot of reasons to get healthy, for some the motivation is to feel better, to have more motivation, for others it’s to lose weight and get in better shape. Any reason to get healthier is good.
I talk with a lot of people who want both energy and weight loss, and the first thing I always tell them is that they can do it, because anyone can. Yes it takes some work. No it doesn’t happen overnight, but getting on the right food plan, and on the right supplements can make dramatic changes, not just in the way you look and feel, but also it can improve averse medical conditions.
I have seen real results. With hard work, with changing your lifestyle, and the way you think about food and health you can achieve your goals. I would love to help you in making a change for the better. I know systems that are in place that really do work.

Pack It
Chances are you are busy, very busy. Who isn’t these days? Between jobs, side projects, workouts, and kids, it’s insane. I hear all the time people say “I don’t have time to eat healthy”. My thought? Yes you do, you just need to manage that time some more.
Every day when I get home from work, I make my smoothie for that night and for the next morning. In addition I pack all my snacks and meals for the next day. The reason I do this is because if I wait till night time, I’m probably not going to feel like it. And if I wait till the next morning, it will be one of those mornings when I hit the snooze too many times and end up not having time.
Prepping your food is the absolute key to eating healthy, if you don’t prep, life will catch up with you and you will find yourself eating like crap.
The weekend is here, and there is no better time to really plan out your meals for the next week. Hit the grocery store, buy the healthy food, the healthy snacks. Plan your dinners too. How many times have you gotten home and work was long and you don’t feel like cooking? Or you pick up some fast food on the way home.
Prep your dinners. Make some healthy chili, make soup really good soups, or some healthy casseroles. Take Sunday to cut up, baggie up, container up, crock pot up, and set yourself up for success for the entire week. You will be so glad you did.
Have you some great recipes or ideas for prepping food? Would love to hear them!

Learning To Think Fitness
I love running my own business. I love stories from people like this morning. I got in contact with one of my customers today. I asked her how she was doing on the health product I sell, and she told me how well she like it, not just because of the benefits of the product, but because through the process she’s also learning how to eat clean, what to eat, what not to eat, and she’s enjoying doing it.
That blew me away. That is why I started this business. Fitness is a large part lifting, running, and doing cardio, but it’s also in large part food, a very large part.
We are inundated with processed foods, and it’s hard to know how to eat right, to not only lose weight and maintain the weight loss, but to have more energy, more focus, a balance of hormones, and overall health with no struggle in the areas of high blood pressure, diabetes, or other food related problems.
I love getting reports like that. I love hearing that not only is what I’m working with helping people transform their physical bodies, but also their mental state, and how they think about food.
I wouldn’t trade it for anything. If you have any fitness, food, or health questions comment below or I’d love to talk one on one with you. Email me at: directorb.blog@gmail.com

Get Your Protein
So if you’ve been into fitness and weight control at all, chances are you’ve had some protein bars, and tried some different formulas of whey. And I’m sure soon after that you were overwhelmed by just how many different brands were on the market. Well let me introduce you to a new one: Myprotein.
Recently the company sent me some sample products. Being a fitness nut, I was more than happy to try them out and as I am with any new product, I was skeptical. I’m no stranger to many of the top fitness brand products available on the market.
I was very much surprised a the quality of the products Myprotein puts out. First off the protein chox (bars) are amazing. I’m not just saying that. There are plenty of bars out there that it’s almost a workout in itself just getting the thing down, not so with their bars. Second the whey protein is extremely fine, making it go down and mix superbly. I had no issues with clumping like I’ve experienced with other brands, and the taste leaves far less of an aftertaste than I’ve experienced with other brands.
Their Branch Chain Amino Acids deliver superbly as well. I got the blueberry and let’s just say I look forward to drinking it after my workouts.
So if you’ve been questioning some different products and don’t know where to turn. Click the link below and check out myprotein. Not only do they offer a host of other products, from nut butters, to clothing, to fast carbs, but if you need some meal plans that are specific to your goals they have that as well. Click the banner below and check out their products. You won’t be disappointed.

Diets Don’t Work
Yup that’s right diets don’t work. They sound great don’t get me wrong, and they will promise you pretty much everything you’ve ever wanted in life. Energy, a fit and hot body, a better sex life, cure to every ailment, and a lot more. But in the end, diets just leave you feeling frustrated, because they don’t last. Ever wonder why that is?
Diets are designed to be a crash course temporary fix to a problem that has most likely been decades in the making and that just doesn’t help.
Let’s put it this way. If you were going in and renovating a house that had a bad foundation, a leaky roof, bad plumbing, and electrical wire hazards, would it do anything good to do landscaping, brand new paint, carpet, and tile throughout? It may look nice for a few weeks, but soon, it’s going to collapse, flood, or worse.
Diets are the same way, they don’t address the underlying problems. It’s not about eating or not eating carbs, not about counting calories down to the last one. Shoot I can eat a snickers bar for breakfast lunch and dinner, and be under the recommended calorie limit but that doesn’t mean I’m going to get healthy or in shape.
It’s not a diet you need. It’s a total life change. You have to rethink the way you eat, not just limit it, or limit one item. It takes removing the white carbs, the sugar, the soda, the fast food, the eating out all the time. These are the biggies.
Then you have to replace them with whole foods, lean meat, chicken, turkey, (no bacon is not lean). It takes eating fruit, and vegetables, drinking water, instead of soda (yes diet is included in this, it’s worse than regular), tea, or 0 calorie artificial crap. It takes eating whole grain brain, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and doing away with the starchy white breads, pastas, and rices.
It’s thinking with your brain not your gut. Your gut knows nothing, your brain does, listen to it. If you really want to have more energy, a better body, and feel your best, it’s going to take more than a diet, and you can do it. It’s not hard, it just takes some re-training and some work.
If you are struggling in this area I would love to help. Comment below any questions, or hit me up at my email: directorb_blog@gmail.com

Who’s Running Your Day?
It’s Sunday! A great day to prep for the coming week, to set yourself up for success. Yes it’s Super Bowl Sunday and we are having a party as well, but that’s not until tonight. Pre-cook some meals, get some healthy snacks ready for the week.
Write down what you want to accomplish in the gym. Making goals is key to your success. If you go into the week blindly and say “we’ll see how it goes” chances are nothing will happen. You will hit next weekend with no change, and so the cycle will continue.
Stretch yourself, mentally and physically, don’t just do what feels good. As a society as a whole we’ve become so used to finding the easy way out. Find the hard way out.
Mentally prepare yourself. Just as you have to feed yourself the proper nutrition to fuel yourself, you need to feed your brain. Read motivational books, read fitness books. Not pansy butt books that are going to make you feel good about yourself right where you are at. No! Books that will push you to your limits. If reading isn’t your thing…make it your thing.
Reading and learning is one of the best ways to become a better person. Get Audible, listen to a book when you are in the car, instead of blaring your music. Don’t have the money? Get to your library (yes those places where you can rent books for free). I go to the library all the time and get audio books, because with my job I’m in my vehicle a lot.
Push yourself, stretch yourself, get out of your comfort zone, it’s the only way you are going to grow mentally and physically.

Where To Start In The Gym
Have you walked into a gym before and been at a total loss? You don’t know what to do? There’s somebody lifting weights who looks like he should have been in the last expendables movie, and some girl is running on a treadmill like an olympian.
It can feel overwhelming but it’s okay. In fact it’s normal. I felt the same way when I first stepped into a gym. I had no clue what I was doing, and I felt stupid as I read the labels on the machines to figure out what in the world I was supposed to do.
After all I didn’t want to end up on some obscure site where someone snapped my photo and put the title “gym fail” on it.
But here’s the thing. Most of my insecurities and fear of the gym were all in my head. Once I had been in there awhile I realized that most (no not all), but most of the people in the gym were very helpful and actually enjoyed sharing information. The gym staff were the same way. They were more than happy to help. Because when people are passionate about something they love sharing about it.

So don’t be afraid to get inside a gym don’t be afraid to ask questions, don’t be afraid to read the labels on the machine, after all that’s what they are there for and they actually have some great info on them!
If you still would love some info before hitting the gym and what to work out, feel free to comment that you want some workout plans, I’d be happy to throw some workouts together if you want to go in prepared.
Also join my facebook group by clicking the picture below, it’s a great place to grow with other people of all different walks, who have all different goals. You can ask questions, and learn all kinds of tips.

Health Vs. Weight Loss
More Than Weight Loss
You might think that health and weight loss are the same thing right? Actually they aren’t. There are plenty of diets and fads out there that while they may help you lose weight, are not good for you nor do they enhance your health.
The difference is weight loss fads may help you shed some pounds but do nothing to enhance your lifestyle or the overall health of your body.
When you get healthier you will naturally start losing weight and it will be a result of an overall transformation to your body. That is why diets don’t work. They are a temporary fix to a problem. Like putting a band-aid on a wound that requires surgery. It just doesn’t work.
Lasting Health
That’s the reason I decided to start my company. Because it’s about long lasting health, it’s about learning to re-train your lifestyle habits and ultimately make changes that will stay with you for life, and not only cause you to lose weight, but to feel healthier, feel more energetic, feel more like you.
So don’t believe the fads, don’t get sucked into weight loss without health. Because diets are over and gone and leave no lasting change, while health stays with you forever.
