NEWS: Alexandria Publishing Group Goes Live

THE world of indie publishing has often been referred to as the 'Wild West', a kind of hubristic free-for-all where anything goes, but now a small group of author-publishers has decided its time to rise above the fray - and enforce a little quality.
Authors Valerie Douglas and D Kai Wils...

BLOG: Gift Of The Gab
THE boss threw the book at me the other day - he made me the literary editor of his new publishing baby, Cheshire Today.
After six years writing about the bleak world of housing, this new line in day job sweat and tears will certainly make for a refreshing change. Of course, my main subject matter isn't averse to throwing me an odd ball every now and again.

POEM: Tender Mercies
By Mark Cantrell
Success
Is like a horse,
Carefree and wild,
I ride it hard,
I ride it fast
Crying yahoo
As I gallop past.
Success,
Is like a horse,
Mean tempered and wild,
It throws me down to earth,
Kicks my arse,
Leaves me red raw and tender,
Saddle sore and dusty,
But still I climb
To ride for more...
I'll tame the horse yet!

BLOG: Sifting The Sites
Are we nearly there yet?
ONE of the many brainteasers involved in crafting a website isn’t so much about what you decide to put in – but what you decide to leave out.
As the old saying goes, less is more, but faced with the possibilities that modern web design offers, with all its widgets and gadgets and ‘Web 2.0’ interactivity, the tantalising possibilities can dazzle to the point of overload.
That’s the conundrum I’m facing right now, as I put t...
