As a young girl in school, Leslie enjoyed the subject of Language Arts. Writing classroom assigned essays was always a favorite of hers. This love of writing essays resulted in her achieving A and B averages in the subject. Although she enjoyed playing with her array of dolls, she found the time to fabricate stories.

As a working adult, she was a regular writer for company newsletters and was chosen to write a movie critique column.
Professionally, Leslie has written several published honeymoon excursion articles and has also written book critique articles for a Christian-based magazine.
