Cover Reveal and What’s New
As I sit here trying to clear my mind of the last scene I wrote (tehehehehe, a fainting Mr Collins – who doesn’t like that!!), I remembered that I have not updated on my blog lately. So I thought I would throw a few lines out there for all my readers.
What’s new. Hmmm….let me see. I found an awesome deal (43% off!!) on sound deafening ear muffs, so I got those in the mail yesterday and they are working fabulous. They cut most of the glaring noise made from a loud hubby and six kids in a small house and allow me to focus better on what I am writing.
I moved my desk away from the window in hopes that I won’t freeze this winter, and so far it is working out well. We will see. I still have three book cases to organize because of this change, but for now I am ignoring the mess beside me and just writing. Sometime in the next few days I will have to get to that though.
Leaving Bennet Behind, Volume #2 is coming along wonderfully and should be completed on time. I am not giving dates on here, cause I hate to do that and not make it, but hopefully this one will be out very soon. As soon as I am done with the writing/editing I will get it up for preorder on Amazon. Keep your eyes open for it!
In other news, the story that tells of the trials and triumphs of our beloved characters during the time period in which Jane gets married to Charles Bingley now has a name. *** drum-roll please……. *** And the book shall be called…
Awwww…isn’t that such a sweet name! It really reflects Jane well, don’t you think?
Are y’all as excited over this book finally coming out soon as I am? I know, I know, everyone is REALLY eager for #3 when Mary finally ties the knot.

Helping Alex Martin
One of the things that continues to draw me to the JAFF (Jane Austen Fan Fiction) community are all the wonderful people who unite in sometimes odd ways to make the lives of our fellow Jane Austen friends better, happier, or easier. That is the case with the situation set before us now – that of Alex Martin.
Julianne Martin has been an active part of the JAFF community for years. I remember praying with her through the pregnancies of her sons, as well as counting down the days until their births, rejoicing in their firsts, and smiling over the many pictures she has posted on the forums. Now the doctors have diagnosed her youngest son, two year old Alex, with a seizure condition. Due to the severity of his condition and the worsening of his abilities, Alex is in need of a specially trained service dog. Because it is a specially trained service animal, the cost is quite extraordinary – it completely blew me away when I first saw the number of nearly $10,000 – I can imagine it is how the family felt as well. So far just over half has been raised.
Here is where you can help. A few JAFF authors are gathering together to help the Martin family raise the additional funds needed. If you donate to help this family, we invite you to fill out the form provided below and choose a gift from the list. Also grab the blog/forum button at the top of this post to tell others of this opportunity. (Just copy and save it on your computer – it is provided in a size appropriate for the forums). Most of all, THANK YOU for all you will do to help!
You can read the detailed story of Alex’s journey, as well as donate to the cause, here. The facebook group for this need can be found here. If you are a JAFF author and would like to add your books to any of the lists below, please email me at: peculiar_lady2@yahoo.com .
Please donate, then fill out the form at the bottom of this blog post with the information we need, and the author will be in touch with you. (Please allow them 30 days to fulfill their promise of a gift. Though I am sure most will not take that long to get to you, we are all busy people and sometimes we need a little while to get to it).

Under Construction
Over the last year my blogging has taken a drastic change. First I actually cleaned up an old blog I had lying around that I had not touched since about five years ago and I revamped it when I published my first book. Then I decided to switch from Blogger to WordPress – for so many good reasons, mainly that WP offers more variety for what my page needs. Now I have gone from a basic wordpress blog to a hosted website with my own domain. How exciting is that! I was going to hold off on switching over to this site until after Christmas. I figured it would give me a few months to get it set up and looking good. However, there were some features I needed that my WP blog just would not provide, so I went ahead and switched over now.
Because of this long and tedious process of learning what is and is not needed for my site, as well as trying different looks until I find what will work best, you can expect to see changes on this site on probably close to a daily basis, if not at least weekly basis. I don’t like to leave things for very long and playing around is how I learn. So if there is ever something that pops up that you do not like, feel free to leave a comment below and let me know. I want my site to be pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate, as well as fun and a reflection of what I write.
Thank you for your patience as this site grows to encompass all that is needed in this journey of mine.

New Site!
I know I just transferred from blogger to wordpress just a few months ago, but it is time to switch again – this time to my own web site! It will be easier for people to find me in search engines now that it is my author name. Also, with the new newsletter (Peculiar Ramblings) starting up, I felt I really needed to go ahead and switch over now instead of waiting until the new year. So please have patience with me as I build it into what I want.
