Those Long-Awaited Words: 'The End'
As a writer, I really love to read those words - 'The End'.
As a reader, not so much. I want the lives of the characters I am invested in to continue on. I want to peek into what is around the next corner for them. I am not one for epilogues months or years after the end of the story, though.
Am I odd? What do you prefer as a reader? Once the story is completed, do you want to hear how many children they had, or how long they lived happily ever after? Or do you, like me, prefer to just be left to imagine what it could possibly be for them?
Well, as it turns out, I was able to write the words 'The End' on my current story just last night! How awesome is that? What a feeling - what a rush! **I think I am going to be sick**.
Just to Hear 'I Love You' is finally complete...in as much as a story can ever be complete. It still requires edits, by me, my beta team, and me again. But I was able to write those words 'The End' last night on this one!
The road never ends though. Once I am completely finished with this one and have put it behind me, I can get back into the character's heads of Leaving Bennet Behind . I am hoping to have book 2 of the series ready to publish by the end of the year. We will see how real life goes, as there will probably be a few big things in my life (like moving) between now and then. My goal is to have it published for the Christmas season though.
Let me know your thoughts on epilogues - should they be included or not?

Book and EBook GIVEAWAY!

I am hosting a giveaway, so pass this around and tell everyone you know about this wonderful opportunity.
'Leaving Bennet Behind (vol 1): Chosen' will be released MAY 10, 2014!
HINT: **just in time for Mother's Day on May 11th!**
I am also hosting a GIVEAWAY here on my blog. If you would like to be entered into the drawing to win either an ebook or a regular book, please leave a comment below. Indicate your preference of book style and don't forget to leave your email so I can contact you if you win!
This giveaway will run from now through May 19, 2014.
On May 20th I will choose (in a random drawing) TWO winners for an eBook and TWO winners for a print Book .
For those who read 'Leaving Bennet Behind' on one of the JAFF forums, this is a little different. The entire tale will be broken up into a series of five books, but you will notice some very big changes in the order of things in this first book. I hope you enjoy the changes as much as I have enjoyed making them. The other books in the series will be coming out as I can get them completed, but they will take some work first. If you enjoy stories of Elizabeth and Darcy, this is the book for you! I know not everyone enjoys stories of the other sisters, so their tales will be told mostly in the other four books, but I had to begin with our favorite couple first.
And for those who have not heard of this story, below is the story synopsis:
The Bennet family changed dramatically when Mr Bennet nearly lost his life. The rekindled love between him and his wife encouraged a unifying bond amongst their five daughters. Their story unfolds as each eligible young lady walks down the aisle, taking her husband’s hand and forever leaving the name of Bennet behind.
Fitzwilliam Darcy was a tormented man. His sister’s recent accident and the lifelong difficulties she was now to face plagued him. While visiting his friend, Darcy crosses paths with a young lady. He is immediately captivated and soon seeks out an introduction and dance with Elizabeth Bennet. Could it be that his parents, though they are no longer with him, are leading him right to the arms of a family who can help both he and his sister heal from all they have suffered? Will the instant connection Darcy and Elizabeth both feel for each other be able to weather the storms that come when a secret past connection is revealed?

Snow Storms & Kissing Games
This is a short story I wrote earlier this year, and it is posted at a few of the forums, but I thought I would put it out there on my blog for anyone to read. It's a fun, low angst (I promise!!) JAFF story!

'Captain's Log:' Is Now Published!

I am excited to say that my first story is now published! While my other one is in the final stages, I decided to work on this shorter story to kind of get my feet wet. It is now finished and ready for its public debut.
About 'Captain's Log:'
Fitzwilliam Darcy received a special gift from his parents when he was eight years old – a journal. Within its pages the tales of his summer holidays at Pemberley with his cousins unfolded year after year. As adults now, will someone from their past forever change the future for this ‘Jolly Band of Cousins’?
To purchase, visit:
Amazon
Smashwords
eta: The print book is now available also on Amazon.
If you want to sneak a peek at this book, visit my 'Captain's Log:' tab above, or follow this link.
