When the story initially broke, I was in complete shock. I couldn’t believe that the CBC would fire an outstanding employee for his sexual preferences. With that being said, I started using my brain and wondering what is going on here, truly? BDSM is beautiful, and despite that fact… there are individuals who enter the lifestyle using it as a smoke screen to hide their abuse of others. That’s when it becomes harder for those who live the lifestyle to live it without fear of ridicule or condemnation to name a few. This is where I come in, an author of the lifestyle… along with a few other important people, Dr. Charley Ferrer to name one. Dr. Ferrer is a renowned sexologist and BDSM expert. She has provided me with so much knowledge and understanding of the lifestyle, which I hope to show others how amazing it truly is. You are right to educate yourself and be aware of the lifestyle to make a solid and inform comment. BDSM is about trust above all, and BDSM is not abuse. It is sad when someone uses BDSM as a smoke screen to hide their abuse. Please note, I am not saying that Jian Ghomeshi did this… I have to admit I was someone that posted on his Facebook page offering my support when the story initially broke. Now after the shock and the information gathering process is happening… We have to wait till all this plays out and we hear and see all evidence produced. You are absolutely right, we have to offer these woman the same courtesy that has been pouring out to Ghomeshi. The truth will be revealed in the end!

If you live in Canada, there’s a story that you’re likely pretty familiar with.  Last Sunday, Jian Ghomeshi, host and co-creator of “Q” on CBC was fired from the broadcasting company. Ghomeshi then posted a statement on his Facebook Page explaining why he was fired.  Next up, the Toronto Star, who had been working on a story with women who had come forward about Ghomeshi, decided that it was now relevant to publish the story, since  Jian’s statement had now gone viral.It’s now Thursday and since then, the original 3 women who have made accusations have now turned into 8, with one stepping out of anonymity.  The stories are strange, violent and allegedly illegal, as each victim tells that certain acts of aggression were made without consent.  So now you’re caught up.

I totally agree with you. I will not lie, I cannot wait for the movie to come out. Having read at the series, I am very interested in seeing how they play out the play scenes. To your testament, that is not how it truly is in the life.

I finally figured it was time to read 50 Shades of Grey before the movie comes out.  It was good for a good laugh and I hope women don’t actually think that that is the way it really is in real life.  No matter how hard we try to make this type of a relationship a true 24/7, unless you are filthy rich it just isn’t going to happen.  You can have the overtones 24/7, but other than that life always gets in the way.  Many have the fantasies of things like being collared, naked, and being led around on a leash 24/7.  It is a nice fantasy, but it’s one that for 99.9% of us will never come true.  There is always bills to pay, shopping to do, doctors appointments, and jobs to go to.  I have seen so many people on both sides of the fence have such…
