Hey lovelies ^_^ I could really use your help! If you could follow that link up there and recommend me, I would be forever indebted to you. I hate to beg, but $10,000 would go a long way, and they only look at the top 500 recommended. At the moment, I need 153 recommendations to get there. So if you would be so kind as to recommend me, or even just to reblog this, I would love you forever (not that I don’t already).

I love doing my thing while someone else is in the room doing their thing. Like if you come over and you want to sit by the window and read while I sit on the floor drawing something and listening to a cd that would be very nice.

I havent seen any information on Baghdad or Beirut on my dash, so for people that are also wondering what’s happening outside of paris:
Beirut
43 Dead, 239 Wounded- attack on Beirut by ISIS recruits
Mourning in Lebanon after deadly twin terrorist attacks
Baghdad
17 Dead, 43 Wounded in Hay al-Amar, 5 Dead , 15 Wounded in Shiite Shrine in Sadr City.
Suicide Bombing at Shiite FuneralIf anyone has further information feel free to add it onto this post!
Let’s give these two countries just as much support as Paris!
And to any followers who live or have family in these areas, I hope you all remain safe and that your families are ok too.
The Project
Hello. My name is Kaden. I am a 22-year old transgender male. I have a 2-year old child, and one of my greatest endeavors is to teach him about the world.
In that endeavor, I often take him to our public library. He runs around being a 2-year old and I look at which books I should read to him next.
Well, to get to the point, I discovered that my local library does not have any books about families that are not cisgender.
So, being a resourceful individual, I’ve decided that I want to make one! Which is where I need your help.
I want pictures of YOUR queer family. (Tag your pictures with “My Queer Family”)
Some groups I’d really like to have represented, besides being queer:
-POC, indigenous people (basically, lots of non-white people)
-Differently abled people
-Families with more or less than 2 parents
-Families with multiple non-cisgender members
-Older queer families
With your picture please include a short story about your family. You can tell me how you became a family, what you like most about your family, what your family traditions are, etc. I especially want to hear from the children, as this project is really for them.
When I have a dozen or so pictures and stories gathered together I’m going to create a children’s book.
Once the children’s book has been created, I’m going to see if I can find a publisher who will make the books for free. If not, I’m going to start a Kickstarter to raise the funds to publish the book.
Then, I want to give this book away to every library and school in the United States. I want every child in the country (and eventually the world, but we’ll get there) to be able to see diverse families. I want them to see that families all look different, and that it is okay if their family is different from their friends’ families.
SO GREAT FOR WRITING
