Feminist I see. What's your opinion on women making the decision to get married before they're even 20? I look at the women who decide to do that and just feel pity, they don't know what they're getting into and the hormones in a teenage girl are absolutel
Thank you for the ask, anon!
I’m not quite sure what this has to do with being a feminist, since plenty of guys under 20 get married too, but I’ll answer to the best of my ability.
First off, my opinion is that women, and men, making the decision to get married before 20 is okay! Getting married at 18 will not doom your life to misery.
To your first point about feeling pity, why? Teenagers have a lot of choices to make that will affect the rest of their life, attending college probably the largest. Do you pity us for that, too?
(Side note: have you met teenage guys? try that out and then talk to me about “out of control hormones”)
Even if the marriage fails – many, many adults who get married at 30 end up divorced. I’m not really sure it’s an age thing, whether or not marriages work out. Making mistakes are part of life. I would much rather do something now and realize it was wrong later, than never do it at all because I’m worried I’m making the wrong choice. I trust in my judgement, and I understand that I won’t always make perfect choices. That’s part of growing up.
Myself being a teenage girl who has been contemplating life decisions, I found this question a little rude, if not sexist. I would say I’m more rational then you seem to be suggesting. So yeah, get married if you want to get married, fam.
Again, thanks for the ask! ^^
(p.s. my boyfriend says to eat a dick)
