Vlog Friday: Body Shaming
It's time for my Friday vlog! Sorry for the weird angle, I might look a little scary but hey at least it was steady! I am still learning! Baby Steps Back to Etsy!
I am happy to say that I am officially back on Etsy! I am starting off slow, getting my old shop Sheri Velarde Creation back up and going, but under the new name of Stoker Jewelry and Art! It will have jewelry and paintings, though eventually the paintings may get their own page. The A&P Twinporium with children's accessories should be up and running next week! Excited to be getting back to business and this time I will be treating this more as a business rather than a hobby. Items will slowly be going up as I make sure to have the best pictures, prices and pages that I can. If you are looking for gifts for any occasion, please think of me. Writer Wednesday: Inspiration is Everywhere
As an author I get asked all the time, "Where do you come up with your ideas?" The answer? Anywhere and everywhere. Ideas come from your life, from your imagination, from things you read and watch. Truly from everywhere.
Here are some examples:
On Monday I got to be on a movie set with my nieces. It was a new experience and I personally think that there are a lot of stories of the people who work behind the scenes that can be told. I might do that some day.
I just finished reading Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki by Haruki Murakami, which deals with the loss of friendship. That triggers some ideas about the loss of some friendships in my life and in my husband's life. These stories are not anything like Murakami's story, except that they are about human experience, but his story triggered some ideas for me.
I am working on a time travel/steampunk novel that was started by seeing a cover made by a cover artist. The title of the novel came to me and I bought the cover to be used at a later date and now a huge novel is going to come from it!
My Gods Behaving Badly series came from my own personal love of Greek mythology.
The options for coming up with ideas are limitless, you just have to look and open yourself up and see what comes your way.

Guess What I am Doing Today?
Today is an exciting day for me, I am going to help my sister-in-law wrangle my twin nieces today... on a movie set! My nieces have been cast in a movie and I get to go observe and help! Sure, I'm not in the movie, but I get to see some behind the scenes stuff going on! I've never been on a movie set, so I am rather excited.
As an author, new experiences are what life is all about. Maybe I will get new ideas, new stories to tell. Maybe I will meet a celebrity or two. No matter what I think that it will be a fun experience and hey, I get more time with my favorite twins in the world! So if I am scarce today you know why!

Etsy Here I Come... Again!
So I have taken months off from my etsy store as I tried to get my health under control and as I sold my jewelry through other outlets. During that time I have been reading up more on etsy, learning how to make that endeavor more successful. Well I think that I am almost ready to get back into that game, but this time I am going to have a few stores and will be working on my tags, photos and business models. It's a lot of work, but I think that it will be worth it in the end. Sheri Velarde Creation will be back soon, selling only jewelry this time around. I will also be opening A&P Twinporium, with all the fun kids accessories that I have been creating of late. I am also thinking of opening a third store for my art, but I need a name for that one still. Exciting things coming now that I am back to listening to my heart and my own instincts. I am just thankful that I have a super supportive husband to help me along the way. Look for my etsy re-emergence to start next week if all goes as planned.
