Day 11: Kee & Tate

Kee:  I’m currently in a relationship with Tate Stevens, who often leads me astray, makes me do things I never thought I would do, and has the entirety of my heart in his hands.

Tate:  Wow.  That’s like… wow.  Okay.  My turn.  I’m currently in a relationship with Kee Smith, who lovingly follows me to all the places I can lead him astray, and does some damn kinky things when we get there.  He is everything I ever wanted in a life partner – because that’s what this is.  For life.

Kee:  Wow, yourself.

10.   A fruit you dislike and why

Kee:  That big round one that you have to pick all the pips out and eat.

Tate:  You mean pomegranate?

Kee:   Yep.  That thing.  You’d die of hunger before you can sate your appetite.

Tate:   For me, strawberries.  They’re supposed to have the most sugar in them, so I don’t eat them.

Tate:  …  Hey.  Just because it happens to be a favourite topic of mine.  I’m very passionate about it.  Kee?  Kee?  Sorry Renae.  I’ll be back in a bit.

8.  A book you love and one you didn’t

Kee:  You mean a book that’s not a magazine or an instruction manual?  Do people still have them?

Tate: I’m not a big reader.  I tried out that one… what’s it called?  The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.  It was too boring and I lost interest.

But we had to read The Hobbit at high school.  I liked that one.

​7.  What tattoos do you have and do they have meaning

Kee:  I want one that says—

Tate:    No.

Kee:  But it will be fun—

Tate:   No.

Kee:  And you can—

Tate:   No.

Kee:  Aww, come on, Tate.  Where’s your sense of adventure?

Tate:   No.

Kee:  That decides it.  I’m definitely getting one with your name in a heart…. Hey!  No.  Come on, Tate.  I’m kidding.  Come back.  Don’t leave.  **sigh**  He has a thing about me having “clean skin” so I can model clothes for him.  I guess any tattoo I get will need to be in a private area… oh, that’s gives me a great idea!

6.  Someone who fascinates you and why

Kee:  Liam, Jamie’s boyfriend.  I haven’t quite figured him.  He’s… I don’t know.  So laid back?

Tate:  What are you doing looking at other men?  Hmm.  Someone who fascinates me?  Andy Warhol.  He’s someone I’ve never quite figured out.  Mad?  Genius?   Eccentric?  Extremely intelligent?  Switched on?  Switched off?  He’s just…  There is so much to him.

Kee and Tate from ​Don't Twunk With My Heart ​are taking my 30 day challenge.

One of the challenges they face with their relationship is dating a guy from the wrong side of the river.  When you live in Perth, you stick to your side of the river.  Moving to live on the other side of the river is a traumatic life event.  I avoid even driving to the other side.  And the saddest start to a relationship is finding that your new crush lives on the opposing side...  Poor Kee and Tate...

5.  A place you would live, but have never visited

Tate:  Paris!  OMG.  Give me spring fashion season in Paris.

Kee:  Can we change the question?  A place I have visited but would never live?  Because my answer would be north of the river.  Hey.  Ow.  That hurt, Tate.  I was being serious.

Day 4: Kee & Tate

​And it's Day 4 of the 30-Day Writing Challenge.  I get the feeling my guys don't take this seriously...

4.  Ten interesting facts about yourself

Kee: 
1.  My name is Kee.
2.  No, that’s not my real name.
3.  No, I’m not going to tell you my real name.
4.  I’m going to torture Tate if he tells you my real name.
5.  My mother named me something really stupid.
6.  No, I can’t change my name, because see point 5.
7.  I chose to be a boilermaker because no one expected me to choose that.
8.  I can’t stand my sister-in-law.
9.   My friends – Jamie, Vinnie, Shane and Hiram – are the best friends ever.
10.  I like to dance.  In heels.

​Tate: 
1.  My name is Tate.
2.  Yes, that’s my real name that my parents bestowed on me.
3.  My parents love me – but they don’t understand me.
4.  I don’t understand them either, but we love each other and that’s what makes it special.
5.  I like clothes.
6.  I really like clothes, to the point I’ve made a career out of clothes.
7.  I don’t like getting older.
8.  I know Kee’s real name.
9.  I really want to tell you Kee’s name, but he’ll get so angry with me he won’t take me bushwalking again.

Day 3: Kee & Tate

Day 3.  Your first love and first kiss; if separate, discuss both

Kee:  Oh, god.  You’re really dragging out the memories now.  First kiss – Susan Adams.  We were eleven and playing spin-the-bottle.  It was a quick peck, but later we met up behind the toilets and she said she wanted to learn how to kiss properly.  It was… dribbly.

My first love, though.  Huh.  You know what?  I don’t think I really even thought in terms of love before I met Tate.  I thought in terms of getting off and being wanted.  So I can’t answer that part of the question.

Tate:  My first love was Tim Alarva.  Oh, man.  It took me years to get over him.  Think long legs, darker skin, cheekbones for miles and a wicked smile.  He played every sport possible at school.  My heart would still skip a beat if I saw someone I thought was him, even years later.  Straight as a ruler, though – which of course was part of the attraction.  I wasn’t even close to kissing him.

My first kiss, however?  A real kiss?  As in I want to date you and do the dirty with you type kiss? Umm… Courtney Fielding. And no, I’m not giving you details, Kee.

Day 2: Kee & Tate

Day 2 of the 30-day Writing Challenge and I have Kee and Tate from Don't Twunk With My Heart in the hot seat answering questions.

2.  Your earliest memory

Kee:  Watching Spiderman cartoons with my brother Sully on Saturday morning.

Tate:   Huh.  That’s so weird.  My earliest memory is about spiders too, but the real kind.  Mum and Dad were camping in the middle of nowhere.  It was night and Mum was showing me spiders that had come out for the night, when suddenly a bushfire came over the hill and racing towards us.  I remember because there was a bit of a panic as we had to get in the car and flee in the middle of the night.  For years I apparently got upset around spiders because the ones we were looking at were probably killed in the fire.

Kee:  You told me spiders are asleep at night in the bush.

Tate:  Oh.  Um…

Kee:  Right.  That’s it.  Never expect me to get naked in the bush with you again.
