Humorous Speech – Fluffy Frustrations

I LAUGH AS YOU HURT

I LAUGH AS YOU HURT (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I thought I would share with you a funny speech I performed.

Here I am talking about the frustrations of being fat. It was a very fun speech to give and write.

The best part about it was letting go. Letting go of the judgment that I give myself for being fat. Creating humor out of the situation makes me feel better.

That is all that matters. Feeling better.

Plus I bought a shirt just for this speech. I thought, what shirt would only a fat guy wear...

The Elephant in the Room

Ever do something that scares you?

When I do an activity that scares me, I know that I am growing as a person. As a person who has social anxiety, a place where I practice growing is Toastmasters.

When I create a speech, I think to myself, “What speech can I give that can cause me to grow?” As someone who experiences social anxiety, speaking about a topic that scares me is a good way for me grow. I set my intention on stepping out of my comfort zone and being open to failure.

When you have so...

Do Not Let Social Anxiety Hold You Back

Do you have a dream? A passion? Do you let social anxiety hold you back?

If you can answer yes to all those questions then you are in the same boat as me.

I am someone who has experienced social anxiety since I was eight years old. The best way I could explain the experience is to imagine every time you go outside that everyone is paying attention to you. Not only are they paying attention to you, they are judging ever action that you do. And every action you make is wrong.

Social anxiety has...

Are You a Natural Entrepreneur?

Are you natural at selling? Do you find being an entrepreneur comes naturally to you? Does the act of networking, public speaking, and prospecting new clients fill you with joy?

If your answer is no to any of those questions, you are not alone. I have a confession to make. I am not a natural entrepreneur.

I have had a few coaches in my time to help me through the struggle of building a business. They keep on using metaphors such as, “You are either a government worker or an entrepreneur.” or...

More Inspiration From Back Pain

I still appreciate you! I hope your day is going special.

More wisdom from my back pain. The joy of life is that there is a lesson to everything that happens in life.

Two weeks ago, I wrote you about my back pain and how pushing through the pain to alleviate my back pain, was a good metaphor for pushing through the pain of changing your mindset to start a business and live your passions.

In the last month, I have experienced little to no back pain. In fact, when I lay down with my knees on my...

Inspiration from Back Pain

Thank you for being a part of this Joyous Expansion community! I am so thankful that you read these e-mails. I really appreciate your desire to live a better life.

In my desire to live a better life I like going to fun ceremonies. Last month I went to a cacao ceremony to open my heart and bring in more love. The ceremony also had a sound bath. During the sound bath, we would lay down and be bathed in the rich sounds of the crystal bowls.

How Do you Escape?

Have you thought about how you spend your time? Do you spend your time in a way that serves you or hurts you?

I am reminded of one of my favorite comedians, Jim Gaffigan. He has a funny joke about McDonald’s. How McDonald’s sells billions of burgers and he hasn’t met anyone who claims to have eaten there. That there is something shameful about eating food from McDonald’s. Jim Gaffigan is a lot funnier when he tells his joke. After making us laugh with his McDonalds humor, he then hits us with...
