‘Tis the season for generosity

goodreads giveaway_rectangular_finaldraftHappy Holidays book lovers,

Hope your holiday shopping is going well. Speaking of which, you know I heard that the average American will spend $700 on gifts this season, totaling over $465 billion. That’s great for the economy, but terrible for your personal book-buying budget. I intend to help you out this year by offering FREE, signed copies of my thriller novel, The Hardest of Ways, in a Goodreads Book Giveaway through January 7th.

I know that’s a little after Christmas and way after Hanukkah, so in the meantime I am giving away cyber stocking stuffers for the other book lovers in your life. That’s right! I’ve caught the holiday spirit and lost the rational, capitalist part of my brain. THOW is now available for free download and can be shared via email in PDF form as many times as you wish. The perfect gift for coworkers, neighbors and loved ones.

Now you get to save a little money, so you can buy more books next year.

Give it away! Give it away! Give it away now!

pic (2)I’ve been in a personal rut lately. And in my experience, it’s best to nurse a broken heart with generosity towards others. So…in that spirit I am giving away free ebook copies of The Hardest of Ways for a limited time. And I’m offering ten signed paperback copies in my Goodreads Book Giveaway starting December 8th.

Hurry up and get your free copy today! Broken hearts don’t last forever…;-)

FREE BOOK GIVEAWAY

Giveaway_THOW_IG

You may have seen this snazzy, promotional post on one of my social media feeds announcing my very first giveaway. I’ve always said that if I could afford to do so, I’d pass out all of my books for free. But since that’s not practical, I’m doing the next best thing…a free giveaway.

To enter for a chance to win a free signed copy of my first book in the Cecelia Clark Series, The Hardest of Ways, simply sign up for my newsletter by 11:59 pm (EST), Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Your email address must be confirmed for a valid entry. The winner will be announced in my next newsletter.

Good luck!

Note of Appreciation

Dear Cecelia Clark fans,

I am tremendously excited for you to read the second book in the Cecelia Clark Series! I wrote The Hardest of Ways (Book 1) because I wanted to read a story about the genesis of a modern day female badass who could keep up physically and intellectually with icons like Jason Bourne, Mitch Rapp and Jack Ryan. But I wrote Bird of Prey (Book 2) for all of THOW fans who asked for a sequel. I was inspired by your questions, suggestions and general interest and love for the characters. So I really hope you all enjoy reading BOP as much as I enjoyed writing it, if that’s at all possible.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to entertain you! It is my greatest pleasure.

Many thanks,

Rashawnda

Why a series?

book stackFirst The Hardest of Ways (Book 1) and now Bird of Prey (Book 2). Who would’ve thought I’d ever get through one novel much less two? And I must confess that throughout the BOP editing process I was writing scraps of ideas for Book 3, which I will officially begin writing next week.

The first inkling that THOW would become a series occurred when I was halfway through the first manuscript. I’d reached the 80,000 word (250 page) mark and realized I wasn’t anywhere near finished with these characters. I’d already written their entire lives out in my head and it was way more than a 300 page novel could hold. That’s probably why THOW was over 500 pages long.

I probably could have cut it up into two or three books, strung you all along for four years for a plot that only spanned a year. But I couldn’t stop writing. I was literally compelled by the characters and obsessed with telling their tales. And as a result you got a pretty long book that was only the beginning of what I hope will be a kickass saga.

Release Day Tuesday

BirdOfPrey_BookCover_FinalDraft_1800x2700

It’s finally here! The second book of the Cecelia Clark Series is now available to the masses on Amazon.com. One of my favorite readers recently said that reading this book was like visiting with old friends and that’s exactly what it was like for me to write it.

So what should you expect in this latest thriller? More action. More suspense. And more female badassness. Just when Cecelia, Hale, and the colonel seem to have resolved their problems, in Bird of Prey we find out that there is more trouble lying ahead of them and on a much grander scale. Will the Armor Team be able to save Cecelia from her thirst for vengeance? Or will the Team have to rely on her this time around? I can’t wait for you to find out!

By the way, today is also the last day to download the first ebook in the series, The Hardest of Ways, for FREE on your kindle or kindle app. If you haven’t experienced the Cecelia Clark Series yet, then start for FREE today.

2for1_BOP_TWOWDownload “The Hardest of Ways” here for FREE. Then buy “Bird of Prey” on paperback or as an ebook here.
