WRITING UPDATE: MITCH TURNER #5 IS ON THE HOMESTRETCH!

Mitch Turner #5 is going very well. I’m super pleased with how it’s coming together.

It’s always surprising to me the number of changes I’m making through these final passes of a novel, sometimes adding a whole new chapter, to make it flow a little better. In this case, the chapter I added, completely changed the final pages of the book!

I’m about 84% of the way done with the novel before I send it over to copyediting.

Only The Guilty is still going through copyediting. Should be coming soon. I’m putting the final touches on the cover and will soon fully reveal that.

The first chapter of Only The Guilty is up for Patreon subscribers. And the second chapter is now available too.

WRITING UPDATE: MITCH TURNER #5 MOVES FORWARD!

I am making incredible progress on Mitch Turner #5! I am hopeful, fingers crossed, that I should finish it up within a few more weeks.

I’m about 73% of the way done with the novel before I send it over to copyediting.

The first chapter of Only The Guilty is up for Patreon subscribers. I have included a little excerpt of this here and will be publishing more about it the closer we get. WRITING UPDATE: MITCH TURNER #5 UPDATE AND ONLY THE GUILTY!

I’m very pleased with how Mitch Turner #5 is progressing. Mitch is up to his old tricks, fighting for justice and I think you’ll find this story very enjoyable.

I’m about 68% of the way done with the novel before I send it over to copyediting. The picture above is a clue for #5!

WRITING UPDATE: MITCH TURNER #5 IS MOVING FAST!

Mitch Turner #5 is coming along fast!

I’m about 60% of the way done with the novel before I send it over to copyediting because much of the work was done last year.

This story involves a case unlike one Mitch Turner has dealt with before. Currently, I’m working through the details of the trial, and building toward the explosive conclusion and finale.

In other news, the copyediting process for ONLY THE GUILTY is coming along, and I anticipate that to take another four weeks.

And then it will be time to publish it!

I’ll be sharing more details the closer we get.

WRITING UPDATE: WORKING ON MITCH TURNER #5 AND ONLY THE GUILTY IS DONE!

Late last week, Mitch Turner burst into my office, and demanded that it was time for me to start working on his latest novel, or he was going to take my computer and tablet hostage until I agreed.

And like lawyer, he also threatened to sue me, something about tortious interference.

I don’t know, I was already opening his file.

So it is with great pleasure that I announce I’m back to work on Mitch Turner Number Five!

I don’t yet have a title for this novel because titles usually come to me later in the process.

I made significant progress on this book last year when I wrote it at the same time as THE VERDICT.

I’ve been pleased as I’ve picked it up again to see that it’s in fine shape and much further along then I remembered. I’m working on it now, and can’t wait to get it out to everybody to read!

Only The Guilty is now going through the copyediting process. Since it’s a bit thicker of a novel than my typical book, it will take extra time to get out, but I hope to have that into everybody’s hands sometime very soon.

The icy wind jolted Burke Wyatt’s hair as he exited his truck, surveying the frozen scene while shaking his head. Winter had come early, and he repressed a shiver as he flipped up his collar and put on his black wool ball cap against the biting cold. There had been a time when he wore a standard cap in the winter, but his wife had insisted, so he wore this because of her.

It was her last gift.

That made it hard to stop wearing once things warmed up, but he was forced to when it got hot. As soon as it was cold, he picked it up again.

His eyes narrowed as he focused on the two bodies that were just visible. He wouldn’t have known what to look for if he hadn’t already known what they were. They were a hundred feet from where he’d parked his truck on the side of the road.
