Newbie with a Mission
I am new to GoodReads and even as I write this, I have not yet completed my profile or read through everything there is to learn here in this community. However, I wanted to jump right in with two great, big feet and post something straight from my heart.
Recently, I visited an art exhibition that posed the question, "What is your greatest desire?" Wow. I stood there at that exhibit for a long time and read the responses that others had written. I was stymied. At one point in my life (I have more than 4 decades behind me right now), I could have answered quickly, but not this time. Finally, after another ridiculously long pondering of that question, the answer came to me with clarity, "I want to create beautiful things that have life long past my existence." There. Simple, right?
One of the things that I hope will live in hearts for more years than I will live on this earth is my humble offering of "THE VERY BEST CHRISTMAS TREE EVER!" It was written with love and with a little bit of magic. Every holiday for more than ten years, this little story of Zoey, a little tree who wants more than anything to be adopted by Christmas Day, has visited me like a sweet, spunky Spirit of Many Christmas Holidays Yet to Come.
I look forward to all of those who adopt Zoey into their Christmas traditions and that she will truly live long past anything I can imagine. I am a Newbie to GoodReads with a Mission ... and I am loving it.
