Thank you for the Great Reviews!

No matter how good one thinks their book is, it is terrifying to send it out into the world knowing that "real readers" are now going to give you their uncensored opinion on just how good they think it is...holding my breath and wondering what you would say...thank you for the great reviews! I'm so thrilled that so far, my little Olive is dear to you as well. Thank you for the lovely words and comments...perhaps my little book will find its place in this world afterall.

Free Book to first 5 U.S. Readers - Now Over

Just because I feel like I'm blogging to myself, (can you hear me singing it to the tune of Dancing with Myself? Kind of funny...) anyway I will give a free copy of my wonderful, fantasy, action-adventure book, "The Ugly Princess" to the first 5 people who respond to my blog (if you live in the U.S. only - so sorry - but I sent books to England and Australia on my last giveaway and it was quite expensive to say the least. I could send you an electronic version if you live outside of the U.S.?) Anyway, have no idea if anyone will even respond so we shall see! Hope to hear from someone?

P.S. This offer has now ended as of August 6, 2014. Missed opportunity!

New Giveaway

The writing of the book (which took a long time!) now appears to be the easier part of this endeavor. Did you know Amazon published 6,000 fantasy novels alone last month? Wow! How do you find readers for your book when you have that many voices shouting, "read me!" Totally lost in the crowd, but I have been getting some good reviews. Everyone says, you have to get more reviews, so I've decided to do one more giveaway. The vast majority of people who have read my book love it. I think it's a fabulous fairty tale for our generation. Now, if only the people who are the lucky winners will actually read the book! I hope people who love fantasy and magic and princesses and true love are the winners...we shall see!

Books Away!

Today I finished sending out all of the books to the winners of my giveaway. 8 of the 20 were out of the country and 12 in the U.S. I hope they will review the book and obviously hope those reviews will be great. Off they go into the universe...see what happens.

Giveaway Results

I am so overwhelmed with the fantastic results of my first book giveaway. Nevermind that no one reads this blog, and I feel like I'm blogging in space where no one can hear you scream - I'm screaming with happiness. Okay, so it's a giveaway, and who knows who will end up checking out my book? But, just over 1,600 readers have now seen the title, seen the cover and good things must come out of that. And 748 readers actually put it on their "to read" shelf and it's going to sit there and maybe some of them will actually decide to read it.

So, I'll send out my book to the lucky 20 winners tomorrow and who knows what will happen? Remember if you had one reader and doubled your results everyday (1,2,4,8 etc.), you would have a billion readers at the end of 30 days. Not that I'll double every day, I just always liked that statistic. Now, to see if they will actually post a review and, of course, I hope they are great reviews.

Thank you for participating and thank Goodreads for providing this exposure to so many readers to me. What a marvelous time to be an author.

What movement! 1,000 +

And I am loving Goodreads and its wonderful readers! Over 1,000 readers have clicked on my book to add their name to the giveaway. I'm hoping some of you, even if you aren't lucky enough to be selected, will still consider purchasing my book. One day you may have a first edition of a very famous book...doesn't hurt to dream, does it? Afterall, all the best achievements in this world started with a dream.

Like the 900+ but Lovin the 425

I'm so jazzed that over 900 have signed up for my giveaway. That's 900+ readers who have at least acknowledged my book exits and 900+ more that have heard about my book before I added it to GoodReads! But I am really lovin the 425+ who have added it to their bookshelves. I hope some of them will actually think about ordering it.
