Announcing Writing to Make Money: Short Projects

My latest book WRITING TO MAKE MONEY: SHORT PROJECTS takes me back to my writing roots.

My very first book more than 20 years ago, was WRITING FOR MONEY, published then by Writer's Digest Books. I was bolstered by the reception in three major national book clubs and invitations to speak at various writer's conference.

When that book ran its course, I did a second take on the topic for AMACOM books with a slightly different title. It wound up in the old Barnes & Noble University courses.

Now, I've published the first in a series of at least three books on the familiar theme of writing to earn money — not riches, mind you but money that's meaningful for your goals, however large or small they might be.

WRITING TO MAKE MONEY: SHORT PROJECTS debuts this month in a soft launch, and I promise you'll hear more from me on this topic this fall and throughout the months to follow.

Please check out my page at facebook.com/writingtomakemoney where you can sign up for newsletter and update tips plus progress on the next book which will feature many more writing jobs.

Copies can be ordered in either eBook or paperback via www.loriannoberlin.com.

And, you can request this book from your neighborhood bookstore as its available through Ingram as a distributor.

There's nothing like depositing a paycheck from a pursuit of something you enjoy. Many enjoy writing, so why not make some income at it.

Post your questions and again please interact with social media, namely Facebook for right now but there's a Pinterest writing board at my fiction pen name pinterest.com/novelistlaurenm.

I'll look forward to your thoughts on this book, this series very soon!Writing to Make Money: Short Projects

Non-Fiction Reviewer - Children, Teen, Other

As many know, after two decades in non-fiction writing, I returned to the classroom obtaining a master's degree in counseling from Johns Hopkins University.

Today, so many years after that work, I have a private practice with two offices in Maryland.

Since I recommend many non-fiction resources to my clients and in parenting articles, I'm happy to know about any new books for these audiences:

• children
• teens/young adult
• adult individuals
• families
• parents/couples

I hope to review as many as I can as a handy resource for Goodreads members, my own client base, and others! Please email me if you'd care to send a review copy of an upcoming release. Some existing books will also be considered.

Reviewing Books

Since I know as an author how important reviews -- sometimes swaying a potential reader to click order or remove it from the shelf at a bookstore or library -- I'm investing some time to review some of my favorites. Here's one on marriage that so many people can benefit from:

The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by John M. Gottman, Ph.D.

Hope you will look at it on my list of reviews and comment or share with reading friends.

Graduation Gift & Encouragement to Write

Over the past 20 years, I've published two writing books——dozens of ways to get published as a writer and make money at it.

When people have given WRITING FOR QUICK CASH, for instance, as a graduation gift it very often conveyed: You've got talent! Now use it!

Please consider giving this book as a gift to the high school or college student you may know, encouraging them in the process to put that knowledge to good use, take calculated risks and move forward with creative goals.

I have copies of this book to sell for $8 (check) or $8.60 by credit card. Please contact me if interested!
