The Power of Starting Something Stupid by Richie Norton
What if the smartest people in the world understand something that the rest of us don't? (They do.) What if they know that in order to achieve success, they will sometimes have to do things that others may initially perceive as stupid? The fact of the matter is that the smartest people in the world don't run from stupid, they lean into it (in a smart way).
In The Power of Starting Something Stupid, Richie Norton redefines stupid as we know it, demonstrating that life-changing ideas are often tragically mislabeled stupid. What if the key to success, creativity, and fulfillment in your life lies in the potential of those stupid ideas?

The Antique Love by Helene Fairfax

One rainy day in London, Wyoming man Kurt Bold walks into an antique shop off the King’s Road and straight into the dreams of its owner, Penny Rosas. Lively, spirited and imaginative, Penny takes this handsome stranger for a romantic cowboy straight from the pages of a book. Kurt certainly looks every inch the hero…but he soon brings Penny’s dreams to earth with a thump. His job is in the City, in the logical world of finance—and as far as Kurt is concerned, romance is just for dreamers. Events in his childhood have shown him just how destructive love can be. Now he’s looking for a wife, right enough, but what he wants is a marriage based on logic and rational decisions. Kurt treats Penny like he would his kid sister, but when he hires her to help refurbish his beautiful Victorian house near Richmond Park, it’s not long before he starts to realise it’s not just his home she’s breathing life into. The logical heart he has guarded so carefully all these years is opening up to new emotions, in a most disturbing way…
My Review:
This book is so sweet. The story of two wounded people learning to trust and give up their pain and misconceptions to find true love. Antique Love was set in the present day but truly felt like a treasured relic from the past. I loved Kurt and Penny and didn't want the book to end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.

Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson

Kate Worthington knows she can never have her heart’s desire and so believes she will never marry. But Kate’s meddlesome mother has other plans. Kate journeys to the stately manor of Blackmoore on the cliffs above the seashore, where she must face the truth and the man that has kept her heart captive.
Set in northern England, Blackmoore is a Regency romance that tells the story of a young woman struggling to learn to follow her heart. With hints of Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters, Blackmoore is a page-turning tale of romance, intrigue and devotion.
My Review:
I fell in love with Julianne's writing with Edenbrooke and Blackmoore is just as fabulous. If you're a fan of regency romance (or any kind of romance for that matter) you will love her books. They're from the heart and extremely romantic.
If you haven't read Edenbrooke it is on sale for only $1.99 for the next couple of weeks to celebrate the release of Blackmoore. Click here.
About Julianne Donaldson
Julianne Donaldson grew up as the daughter of a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot. She learned how to ski in the Italian Alps, visited East Berlin before the wall came down, and spent three years living next to a 500-year-old castle. After earning a degree in English, she turned her attention to writing about distant times and places. She lives in Utah with her husband and four children.
On a side note, my mother-in-law just informed me that Julianne is my husband's cousin's son's wife. So we are closely related and I can brag about being, what is that cousin three times removed, to an amazing Regency romance author!

"Basket Case" Pretty Darn Funny Comedy Tour
Last week of the Pretty Darn Funny comedy tour! Oh, that makes me sad, I love Lisa Valentine Clark and need more comedy in my life! "
Basket Case
" cracked me up because it's the way we all feel sometimes. You'll have to watch it and let me know if you can relate. I have to say though, when the lady said, "I nursed twins for 36 months." I expected Lisa to come back with, "Now that's just gross." My youngest is 36 months right now so that was just a bit too scary for me to imagine!

The Experiment by Cindy C. Bennett, Sherry Gammon, and Jeffery Moore

The Experiment , a new novel from the imaginations of Cindy C Bennett, Sherry Gammon, and Jeffery Moore!

Time is running out for the Collaborative's oppressive rule of the remote world Senca One. The government attempts to suppress the escalating riots, even while seeking to further their experiments. When their parents are taken, triplets Juliet, Cilla, and Emiah Tripp set out to locate them, and soon discover they are at the center of a hunt to capture them.
Evading the Collaborative across Senca One’s harsh terrain, they’re confronted with the trials of survival. They also discover something that changes the very core of their reality: they’re morphs. Struggling to adapt to the strange new ability, they question what they really are . . . and why. Are the rumors of experiments done on children true? Did their scientist parents have anything to do with it?
Their quest brings them to the capitol city of Brighton, which is on the verge of revolt. While searching for information about their parents, the Tripps align themselves with the very people fueling the rebellion. They unwittingly spark the revolution they want no part of and discover something more dangerous than they suspected.
