The Boardwalk Antiques Shop
The Boardwalk Antiques Shop
A Tangerine Street Romance
(a novel in three parts)
Find it on: Amazon * B&N * iTunes * Goodreads * Kobo
“Where Every Antique has a Story”
MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE: Jennifer is newest owner of The Boardwalk Antiques Shop, inherited from her aunt. When Jennifer arrives in Seashell Beach, her first priority is to meet with a realtor to sell the place. She laughs out loud when she discovers the realtor’s name is Mr. Studly. But the more Jennifer gets to know Paul Studly, the more she finds reasons to stay and run the antiques shop herself.
SOLVING FOR X: Abbie is only a little bit obsessed with antiques, okay, a lot. So when Holden, an out-of-town business executive, tries to purchase the tin soldiers that Abbie’s had her eye on, Abbie refuses to back down. The antiques shop owner issues a challenge: whoever comes up with the best story for wanting the soldiers, will become the new owner. Abbie isn’t about to let some fancy executive beat her out, no matter how charming he is.
A STITCH IN TIME: When Cate learns that antiques dealer Henry Lancaster has purchased the sewing machine left to her by her grandmother, Cate is determined to get it back. What she isn’t counting on is that Henry has just as much claim as Cate. And it doesn’t help that Henry is good-looking and apparently single. Getting to know Henry becomes an unexpected surprise, sending her life into a sudden detour.
Other books in the Tangerine Street Romance series: The Fortune Café
My Review:
Each of the stories drew me in and made me fall in love all over again. I would highly recommend this fun anthology. I loved the setting, the characters, and the tie-ins to The Fortune Cafe series. Solving for X was a highlight for me. I absolutely adored Abbie.

Chocolate angel cake recipe
In honor of the angels in Of Love & Magic, Christina Dymock with Hungry Family has created an amazing chocolate angel cake recipe. I can't wait to try it out.
Amazon * B&N * Kobo* iTunes
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup egg whites (10-12 large eggs)
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 ounces milk chocolate, shredded
2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
Place the egg whites and cream of tartar in a metal mixing bowl. Beat until stiff peaks form and the whites are glossy. Add the vanilla and beat well.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, powdered sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and shredded chocolate. Fold 1/2 cup of the powdered mixture into the egg whites. Repeat until all the flour mixture is incorporated into the eggs.
Pour batter into a non-stick angel food cake or bunt cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 -35 minutes or until cake springs back. Run a knife around the edge of the pan and invert the pan onto a funnel or cup and allow to cool for 2 hours. Remove the cake from the pan and serve with fresh whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Sequel to Blog This
I had to share my new cover for the sequel to Blog This, Redeem This. The book is with the editor now. Will be available for sale the first week of February!
I need to think of a series title. So far we've got:
Love Above the Law
Tenderness and Terror
Pursuit of Fear Clean Romance Series
This and That Suspense
Badges and Romance
Love This Pursuit
Can you tell I'm really struggling? I'm starting a prequel to Blog This, Natasha and Tony's story and then a third book after Redeem This, with the FBI agent Marcus Klein as the hero. I need some kind of common theme, but not coming up with much!
Some men are beyond redemption. And Alex is one of them.
While trying to protect his sister, Alex was blackmailed and manipulated into doing heinous crimes. With theft, murder, and acts of terrorism on his resume, Alex is a man without hope. But Alex's next target comes with his own past--a beautiful ex-wife who believes Alex is more than the killer he's been made into. The road to redemption is long for someone with a blackened soul, and with lives hanging in the balance, Alex has a short deadline.
Detective Scott Bentley is the opposite of Alex. He's the good guy with his eyes set on leaving behind his days of law enforcement. But when he's asked to host agents at his secluded ranch for an FBI sting operation, Scott cannot refuse. Ivy McMahon shows up with the team, and Scott gets more than he signed up for. Not only can she hack into the any computer system, she's found a way into Scott's heart. The trouble is, Ivy's in protective custody and when the job ends, she'll disappear.
Is redemption possible for those whose lives are so scarred by the past? With danger crowding close, not even love may have a chance to redeem before it's too late.

Clean Romance with a humorous bite by Amazon #1 Best Selling Author for Christian Romance Kimberley Montpetit
Ever since her high school boyfriend's death from a car accident three years earlier, Jessica Mason and her hometown of Snow Valley, Montana with all its awful memories have NOT been compatible. Running away to New Orleans on a ballet scholarship, Jessica cringes when she thinks about confronting Pastor John and the community church--she doesn't want to talk about God, not after He took Michael, the boy she was going to marry ever since third grade.
In the local scene of funky New Orleans, Jessica seeks out Madame LaBlanc, hoping Michael will absolve her of her guilt the night of the car accident in a seance, but the spirit world is silent and she fears the grief will drown her.
Finally succumbing to family pressure, Jessica reluctantly returns for Christmas - and the little town of Snow Valley does Christmas BIG. When she visits Michael’s grave in the church yard, Jessica is shocked to meet handsome James Douglas, Pastor John’s nephew, who’s studying for the ministry. No, she is NOT going to be attracted to someone who wants to be a preacher! Definitely not compatible! But James Douglas is unlike any minister-in-training she's ever met. James can not only dish back Jessica’s finely-tuned sarcasm but understands grief all too well, turning Jessica’s world upside down.
Can Jessica forgive herself for that terrible, fateful night? Can she take another risk on love?
A fast-paced romance with humor, family dynamics, Christmas, and kissing.

Gabriel's Daughters
GABRIEL'S DAUGHTERS: A NOVEL BY JANET KAY JENSEN

Wrestling with issues of polygamy, homosexuality, and modernity, Gabriel’s Daughters examines them through the lives of the large, loving, and polygamous Martin family. The story is told primarily through the eyes of Zina Martin, a young girl who—upon discovering she is impregnated by her “sterile” teacher and will soon be married off to a man three times her age—escapes the enclosed polygamous town of Gabriel’s Landing, Utah. Zina then embarks on a journey of self-discovery, yet she can never fully escape the longing she has for her family and even the controversial and outdated lifestyle she once lived. Through both tears and triumph, Gabriel’s Daughters reveals a moving story that not only acts as insightful social commentary but also prompts readers to re-evaluate their lives.
My Review:
First off I have to say, I love that cover. It just fits the book and I think it's beautiful.
I was already a fan of Janet's from reading Don't You Marry the Mormon Boys years ago. She writes with such heart and depth and Gabriel's Daughters is just as well-written, touching, and thought-provoking as Don't You Marry the Mormon Boys. I would highly recommend both books.

Rough Around the Edges Meets Refined
Around the Edges Meets Refined (Meet Your Match #2) by Rachael AndersonFor Noah Mackie, life is finally back on track. He has a great support system, a promised promotion is on its way, and he's finally getting the hang of this single father thing. But when the job falls through and his neighbor's matchmaking efforts become more aggressive, Noah is in for yet another unwanted detour. With his career and two spirited daughters to worry about, he doesn't have time for dating—especially not someone like Cassie Ellis, his girls' beautiful and sophisticated dance instructor, who is about as open and approachable as a brick wall.
Rough around the Edges Meets Refined is about two people who think they know exactly what they want but who have no idea what they really need. It's about learning that people aren't always what they seem and that sometimes life’s detours take you exactly where you need to go.
My Review:
I was so excited to have this book be about Noah and his girls. The girls were adorable as ever and it was really fun to have Emma, Sam, and Becky back in the picture. Can't wait to see who the next story is about.

Eve: In the Beginning by H.B. Moore
EVE: IN THE BEGINNING
The first love story on earth... Haunting... Lyrical... Unforgettable...
In a world where everything is perfect, yet the same day after day, Eve must decide if she wants to live forever in the garden with Adam and never know what lies beyond the walls. When she makes a choice with terrible consequences, the pain of mortality is swift. As she and Adam explore their new world, and her body changes, Eve discovers the sweetness of first love with the man who has always been at her side.
My Review:
I was enthralled by this book. I truly think every woman should read it. Can you even imagine being Eve? No mother, sisters, scriptures, Prophets, fire, shelter, the list could just keep going and going. I loved H.B. Moore's portrayal of the Biblical account of Adam and Eve.
