Boat ride in Benaras🇮🇳

India it is true spirit and form exists in Benaras, a city that has undergone a lot of change for the better over the last few years. The city’s lifeline, however, continues to revolve around the mighty river Ganga.

Hike, English🇬🇧 Countryside

The Peak District in the UK is famous for its beautiful natural landscapes. We spent an afternoon there, hiking in one of the popular areas. It was a lot of fun, luckily the weather was great and the views awesome.

Tiny Swiss town Blonay lacks nothing

Blonay is a tiny Swiss town in the Canton of Vaud. However, it lacks nothing. There’s a train station, supermarket, school, library, pharmacy, post office, cafes, imposing chateau and a beautiful lake view.

Impossible not to run in Switzerland

It is impossible not to run in #Switzerland, given the fantastic outdoors and the beautiful weather. Like other Swiss, I too have taken up running, though I am still a long way from achieving optimum fitness levels. I have, however, chalked out my regular running map in the neighbourhood of Saint Legier, where I live. Take a look

First full winter in Switzerland

This is our first full winter in #Switzerland. And, it has been snowing heavily these past few weeks. For us, having lived most of our lives in the plains of North India, the experience is simply exhilarating. Take a look.

Sunday afternoon at Saint Saphorin

Saint-Saphorin is a wine-growing village located in the municipality of Lavaux, in the canton of Vaud. The beautiful fortified village is sandwiched between the Alps and Lake Geneva on one side and the terraced vineyards of Lavaux that have been classified as UNESCO world heritage site.

I spent a sunny Sunday afternoon recently roaming about the cobbled lanes of the village, soaking in the sun and admiring the simple, well-preserved and tastefully kept homes of vintners. Unfortunately, I could not taste any of the locally produced wines due to Covid restrictions. #switzerland

Aigle, the quintessential Swiss town

Aigle is a historic Swiss town in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It nestles on the east edge of the Rhône valley, at the foot of the Swiss Alps. Aigle is the quintessential Swiss town comprising a chateau, old town, vineyards that produce some of the best wines in the world, a clock tower and an intricate rail system that connects to multiple mountain resorts and ski destinations in the region. #switzerland #visitswitzerland #travelvlog #traveldestination

Hike in the Alpine meadows

Alpine meadows that reminded me of India

The hike from Lally to Les Pléiades, high above Lake Geneva in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, reminded me of Himachal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya in north east India where I grew up, and Kashmir that I have travelled with my parents and later for work. #switzerland #traveldestination

The terraced vineyards of Lavaux have been classified as UNESCO world heritage site. They date back to over 1500-2000 years. Filmed in the last week of October, this video covers a portion of the famed vineyards around Chexbres leading upto the village Saint-Saphorin that is located next to Lake Geneva. It is a beautiful walk.
