Hi!

I thought I'd share this recent interview I did for the Squidoo Author Series as a way of introducing myself and my work. Please let me know if you have questions, and I'll try my best to answer them without rambling.

It's nice to meet you all!

"Why did you write My Letter to Fear (Essays on life, love and the search for Prince Charming)?

I was at a point in my life where there were a lot of changes to nearly every aspect of it. I had just quit my job of more than 16 years, and I was doing a great deal of soul searching that included a real look at the differences between the expectations I had for my life when I was a teenager versus what my actual adult reality was. That was the jumping off point for the essays. Then I began interviewing women - friends, friends of friends, etc. about the issues they were facing (career, romance, relationships generally, aging, etc). Those interviews and my own perspective on them drove the writing process. That's really why the pieces vary in tone so much. You'll find a very funny outrage piece on anal bleaching, but the next piece might be a quite serious look at someone's breakdown."
