Another new clip!
The amazing Jen Lilley read a couple of pieces in the project, including "Beautiful Women." She brings so much charm to this piece, and it remains one of my favorites in the book.
Here's a brief clip from it: https://www.goodreads.com/videos/7571...

Readings from "My Letter to Fear" are Tomorrow!
I've now hit the nervous energy stage. I have a feeling this will happen any time a reading of my work occurs. Heck, I get nervous before I click on a review.
I'm incredibly blessed to have a fantastic cast of actors doing the reading. It features Nikki DeLoach (Awkward.), Lesley Fera (Pretty Little Liars), Stevie Lynn Jones (Crisis), Jen Lilley (Days of our Lives), Roma Maffia (Pretty Little Liars), Julie McNiven (Supernatural), Dennisha Pratt (The Sunny Side Up Show), and Carla Renata (Hart of Dixie).

More Reviews!
I find that one of the hardest things to do as an indie writer is to get your work reviewed. This is particularly true if you don't hit a well-established, popular genre. So, I'm pretty excited when reviews not only get posted, but when the reader seems to genuinely connect with my writing!

Reviews are coming in!
Reviews are slowly coming in for "My Letter to Fear: Essays on Life, Love and the Search for Prince Charming." Two new ones have recently arrived, and I'm excited to find new people who have connected with my writing!
"From downright guffaw level to bittersweet to the TMI one (which I loved btw) this book is simply a priceless collection of spot on essays." Diane on Amazon Kindle
"The author really knocked the ball out of the park with this collection of essays. From funny to sad with everything in between, each essay reflects a moment, an emotion, a reflection and is definitely thought provoking." Wilson on Amazon Kindle

Marketing
Without a doubt, the most complicated thing about "My Letter to Fear" to date has been the marketing of the book. While the writing was, at times, challenging, marketing it is quite an exercise.
How do you market a non-traditional book, as a first-time author? It doesn't really fit many of the pre-assigned categories, and the most frequent question I got when pitching it was "But what shelf would it go on in a bookstore?" It's a reasonable question. Monologues? Women's Studies? Essays? Humor? Yes, to all of those things-- at least in part.
So, I'm learning. Each day I find a new resource, and new opportunity to ask people to give the book a try. And I'm meeting some interesting people along the way!
