Dangerous On Roads And In The Ballot Box

Today's news, that a centenarian citizen hit 11 with his car while driving in Los Angeles, reminds me (morbidly) of an essay of David's from June:

American Colleges Are Getting Hammered

While hardly news that online learning is rapidly gaining credence, the depth of its reach, and the ways it threatens American college culture, is observed in insightful fashion by The Washington Monthly.

RNC Diary: The Land That Time Forgot

Does it sometimes seem that this whole convention is a broadcast from an earlier time, somehow intercepted and delayed by some freak event in the ionosphere? It seems that way inside Tampa too. RNC Diary: The Most Nervous Name In News

Megyn Kelly has a bodyguard, David Brooks does not. Fox News has a security guard stationed in front of its TV booth, and as best I can discern, no other network has any. Do they know something the rest of us don't?
