Concept art for Ayda Keywarin the Bard!

Ayda is the bard that was a huge help in getting Star and his troopers away from the Orc Horde. She's now hanging out with the Brat Pack and putting out the good word on Startum Ironwolf which will be its own cool story arc that I think everyone will enjoy.

I'd ever written a bard before and I had her get ordered by accident because Star simply grabbed all the people he could buy. It was funny at the time and he wasn't very thrilled about having a bard on the team. After a few fans shared their experiences with me about playing Bards in Everquest and how they could mix in the music from three different songs, it motivated me to really bring her character into the story. I think their Illusion magic is most definitely fun and has a lot of potential. I've been doing my best to make the best use of it for fights like in the Darom PKer invasion by the Chaos Alliance.

Ayda Keywarin: Level 55 – Half-Elf Bard – female - beautiful, olive skin, dark brown hair, smoky gray eyes, smart and smooth operator, fit, shapely body, plays lute (long sleeve peasant blouse, tight push-up leather vest, leather pants – uses a whip and dual daggers.

Details:
The Hobgoblin vanguard has reached BrokenFang Hold and now Ashley, Kyarina, Orion, and Jodi along with their friends and allies must find a way to hold the line or lose everything they've been fighting for.
Meanwhile, Startum Ironwolf has reached the Gnome Capital city of Tulduroc and can complete his quest for the unique Battle Mage Class. Unfortunately, things aren't always as easy as we wished they would be. Star makes new friends and enemies in his search for a way to pull off the impossible.
Elsewhere, Rani has decided to take Justin's offer and try to find the hacker that ruined her life so she can clear her name. While he's given her a golden opportunity, the doing, she quickly learns, is going to be unimaginably harder than she ever thought it could possibly be.

​Some more of Mike's Dark Elves. Here is the concept artwork for Diothraid Ghemrah!

While this is one of the more traditional sets of Dark Elf pictures with them having white hair, I wanted the Dark Elves to be all types of dark to slightly lighter skin types with all kinds of hair and eye colors. I personally love the white-hair look that traditional Dark Elves have in fantasy. Nonetheless, I feel that having a full spectrum of colors for hair and eyes makes them more like regular Elves instead of Evil Elves which is what I was trying to create. Additionally, I wanted them to look very attractive and capable with their more "modern-city" culture, which we'll be seeing in book 14, better fit their capabilities and culture in comparison to the more Asian-style cities and cultures of the Light Elves.

For some reason, the AI struggles with dark-skinned Elves but I think I've been getting better at getting the "look" and "armor" type that I want in the characters. What do you think?

Concept art for Zinnaemita Lightouch

Zinn has been an interesting character in The World. Also, she's a sexy bard that has been through hell and back after being a sex slave to the Sword Flayers gang leader. She's based on a cool picture of a High Elf adventuring bard. Making her into a Halfling mix of Light Elf-Gnome has not been super easy, but I think I might have managed in this current batch of pictures. The two hardest parts were getting her clothing right and making her into an elfish Gnome =D

What do you think? Does this fit her character and how you might have pictured her in the story?

Zinnaemita Lightouch (Startum’s companion/Brat Pack): Level 30 – Trader Bard – Gnomeling-Light Elf - female - long honey-blonde hair, pale blue eyes. Plays a Djembe hand drum or lute. Uses two long daggers, and stands 4 ½ feet tall. (Was used as a sex slave by Hyalag the Barbarian Leader of the Sword Flayers) Dressed in thigh-high, brown, open (Gnomeling) boots, a loose baby doll dress made from soft gray leather with a low-cut cleavage that came down to the middle of her thighs, white leather glove-like sleeves wrapped around her middle fingers with a tie and came to a stop above her elbows where they strapped in place, and a gray half-cloak that hung from her shoulders. Soprano voice for singing. Kopy-Katze, calico Nuri (gold eyes), Kopy-Katze, Kopy-Katze, silver/blue Miku (brown eyes).

General Morgan Dell concept art!

​General Dell was never meant to be a major character. He was just the head of the Royal Army unit under Princess Isolde's expedition. Nonetheless, his character became a major character in the story. He is now one of my favorite leaders under Star's command. He's especially starting to stand out in book 13 by handling the other newfar in the group.

Anyway, what do you think? Do any of these fit concept arts fit the visual you had for General Dell?

Was previously General Dell of the Royal Forces of the Kingdom of Kader, who’d been demoted to a Team-Leader when I met him in the Sea Orc rescue. A dark-brown flying squirrel named, Blink. Concept art for Uglorn Chuzedros!

This is the Dark Elf that ambushed Star and Friends in book 6! I was having a lot of fun trying to get all of the parts right and tried a number of different styles. I think she came out pretty well. All of the various styles were damn good. Also, the hairstyle and piercing green eyes really make the character come to life.

Anyway, what do you think?

​Concept art for Mike Eyedol!

The whole Dark Elf concept is an awesome thing for me in The World. I wanted to come up with my own twist to the traditional fantasy Dark Elves. They're not evil in comparison to the Light Elves. They're simply a different color of skin with their own unique culture that shares components of the general "Elven" heritage.

I sort of came up with the idea from living in Europe. Racism, prejudice, or whatever you want to call it is not based on skin color but on cultural differences and the country one comes from. This was a perfect window into The World. No one cares that a Human's, Elf's, Gnome's, or Dwarf's skin is darker or lighter. You're simply a Human, Elf, Gnome, or Dwarf. You either share their culture and region of origin or you don't. Another race is just that, another race ... aka another species.

Anyway, how do you like Mike's character? Does this fit your image of Dark Elves?

*Since I know Mike IRL, I never worried about describing how he looked in the Character Sheet, only inside the story when we meet each of their characters =D

Brenna is Rayne's friend and is the individual she requested Star rescue to earn her as a companion. Star ends up finding her in his first exploration of BrokenFang Hold before saving the children. What do you think of the artwork for her? Does this fit your vision?

Concept art for Laurie Butcher!

Except for the lack of green eyes, I felt like these images came out pretty good for her character. The Royal Guard's uniform was always described as being blue and I felt like these were some decent Swordswoman Human pictures. What do you think?

Knows poverty and discrimination for being a commoner, the highest level of the Royal Army and a Team Leader left alive in the dungeon.
