Session at Chaman Vatika School, Ambala

Sometimes you never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
Well, this is what a short and awesome interaction with the talented and energetic girls of Chaman Vatika School, Ambala, taught me.
It made me remind my days…. School Days….

Someone said right: School may be hard, annoying and irritating. But admit it, you’re going to miss it when it ends. And if you haven’t enjoyed group punishments then seriously you have missed the best part of school life.

I really miss my sch...

Another Story about TITANIC

Here I would like to share another story about TITANIC, I recently read:

There were three ships which were nearby when the Titanic sunk.

One of them was known as the Sampson. It was 7 miles away from the Titanic and they saw the white flares signalling danger, but because the crew had been hunting seals illegally and didn’t want to be caught, they turned and went the opposite direction away from the Titanic. This ship represents us and people like us if we are so busy looking inward at our ow...

How to cope up with depression?

In today’s hectic life styles, the living standards are enhancing significantly and the depression among the society is increasing at much higher rate. Well, needless to say that this depression is very much interrelated with our life styles. Have you ever thought that many years ago, people used to spend a simple life with the minimum luxuries or I should say with no such luxuries of present time? They used to rise early, devote time for worship, do household chores by themselves, eat simple...

Man Finds His Missing Mom After 3 Years

I love momHomeless advocate James Worley spent about a year getting to know Jennie Barela, a woman who had been living on the streets of Tampa, FL.

Through a conversation one day, he discovered she had a son named Tristen Osaka. After tracking the son down, Worley called him to let him know about Barela’s whereabouts.

The moment took Osaka by complete surprise. He had been looking for his mom for three years, but wasn’t able to locateher.

“I was sitting at my office, working at my desk, just going abou...

TOP 5 REGRETS OF THE DYING

Bronnie Ware is an Australian nurse who spent several years working in palliative care, caring for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives. She recorded their dying epiphanies in a blog called Inspiration and Chai, which gathered so much attention that she put her observations into a book called, “The Top Five Regrets of the Dying”.

Ware writes of the phenomenal clarity of vision that people gain at the end of their lives, and how we might learn from their wisdom. “When questioned about...

How to be a Super hero?

Pretending to be a super hero is the most fascinating and profound memory of one’s childhood. We all used to admire super heroes as our role models. We always believed that a super hero is a person who has extraordinary powers, lives a secret life and changes his dress in a fraction of a second during a dangerous situation to save the earth. But as we grew, the mere idea of presence of a super hero seems to be childish.

I believe that superhero is not a supernatural being. Presence of superhe...

It’s easy if you try

Many people try for some time and then leave it with depressed mind or with lame excuses for their failures, or blame everyone else and maintain that they are alright. But it is not correct. Have you tried your utmost? There is a story narrated by Swami Vireswarananda, the tenth president of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission.

Once there was a ship sailing in the high seas. A young boy accidentally fell into the sea from the deck. He knew swimming. So he was struggling to swim and kept hi...

Are you Cheerful?

We all must learn to be quiet and cheerful. It not only helps us, it helps others. Suppose a man loses his balance and if you come to him with a peaceful, quiet mind, you exert a quieting influence on that person and help him to regain his equilibrium. You can always get a standard. The way you do everything can become an example. When you do things casually – thinking “what-ever!” “It’s alright!” – it means that you are acting thoughtlessly and lack an order of spirit. The true art of perfor...

The difference between man and man

‘Do you want happiness?’ – Pose this question to anyone and the answer you get would be a definite ‘YES!’ But if you ask, ‘Are you happy?’ the face of many will turn pale! There is vast difference between “what we want” and “what we are” and that matters a lot in our lives.

Man Man

This difference is a measure of the satisfaction that is stores up in a person. One can use this satisfaction as a spur to go forward and achieve the goal which one has set for oneself. Alternately, one may get bogged dow...

Ingredients of ‘Success’

Who does not aim for success? Everybody wants to succeed and excel in whatever they do. But success means different for everyone. For a child, getting his favorite toy after consistently insisting his mother is success. Do you remember how you felt when your better half accepted your marriage proposal? That was the sense of achieving success, wasn’t it? For a graduate, getting his dream job is a success. For a businessman, expanding and diversifying his ventures is success whereas for a poor...
