True meaning of Happiness

Happiness-beach-text
Everyone wants to be happy but are they happy, the answer would be “No, not everyone”. There is a huge variance between what we want and what we are. And that makes all the difference. This difference is the level of satisfaction one used to face during any situation either good or bad. Mind plays a vital role in here. Anyone can be satisfied and be happy in a favorable situation but it took courage and experience to be satisfied and happy in difficult situation. The role of mind starts here...

For all Rain Lovers…

If you are the one like me who loves rain, then you should read the entailing paragraphs. If not, then you must read it, you will fall in love with rain.

I love walking down the street in the rain. Even the cool breeze and drizzle are suffice to vanish my stress and uplift my mood. The scent of the sand in the air fills my heart with nature’s aesthetic beauty. It feels like reveling childhood memories to see drenched children playing in rain.

Rain is associated with many good memories of my...

MUSIC: Food for the soul!!

musicMusic has many definitions for different people. It is indeed the best way to express your feelings. I read somewhere that “Music is to the soul as food is to the body” and I utterly connect to the idea. I always feel if Man is the best creation of God then Music is the best creation of Man. Music is not only the way to express your feelings or to rejoice, it is certainly a soothing activity for the mind and soul. In traditions, music not only exists but holds an important role in the lives.

God’s Own Crocodile: Babiya

Believe it or not, life is full of miracles although we are not able to see many with our external eyes. Some can neither be seen nor heard, can only be felt. Moreover, miracles are based on your faith. Those who have faith in miracles can surely feel it around them.

But today I am talking about a ferocious animal turned harmless. Isn’t it a miracle that a vicious crocodile turned vegetarian?

I am not kidding, there exists such a crocodile named Babiya at Ananthapura Lake Temple.

Ananthapura...

Rishikesh: The most refreshing break!!

Away from the busy life of Delhi, Rishikesh was the relaxing and mind soothing place. Rishikesh is considered to be one of the sacred place in Hindu mythology. There are many ashrams where saints visit for meditation and Yoga. On the other hand we stayed at a camp besides the Ganga River at Shiv puri. The cool and fresh breeze has healed all the stress. The fresh air, coolness of Ganga, sand and stones on the beach is something beyond description. The view of the valley was mesmerizing. It was not my first experience of camping but was the first experience to enjoy a camp at the beach side. The view of Ganga and mountains around the camp was enhancing the beauty of the place indeed.

After I am done with praising the beauty of nature, I went for a walk at beach. As my feet touched the cold water of Ganga, it has made me forget everything except the beautiful place where I was at that moment. I closed my eyes, starched my arms and kept my feet in the water. I have not remembered when I have felt so relaxed last time.

Night was cold but equally relaxing around the bonfire with a bottle of chilled beer.

After the most relaxing night, then unfolds the most adventurous day of my life. It was my first experience of white water rafting of 27 kms. Our guide has updated us about some facts of rafting in Ganga is that it is a polaroid river which means it has flat sections after each high tides section and hence river Ganga considered to be the most safe for rafting. Certainly, rafting is a must do for all adventure lovers.

Although it was not my first trip to Rishikesh but as usual it was the most refreshing trip I ever had.

No one can describe the feeling of being at place, it can only be felt.

Feeling enchanted after a trip to “Vrindavan”!!

Vrindavan is truly the home of God. An impulse of liberation, satisfaction and devotion fills the heart when we enter the boundaries of Vrindavan. One’s soul can connect to the spirituality at Vrindavan. I have been to Vrindavan many times but every time it seems so different, so pure, so enchanted that urge me to visit again.

With get off the car, I bow down and touch the floor to thank Krishna for giving me the chance to visit his home again. Vrindavan is considered to be one of the sacred places in India. This time I visited Nidhivan, Radha Damodar Temple, Banke Bihari Temple, ISCON Temple and Prem Mandir.

The mysterious Nidhivan is indeed beautiful and it embraces a spiritual story within its heart. It is said that Krishna and Radha appear in night at Nidhivan and perform spiritual activities (Lilas). The plants appeared as Gopis. Well, I was very curious to see Krishna with my eyes but then my eyes captured the view of Samadhis of the people who were died due to being present there overnight. I took some holy mud from the Nidhivan and place the same in Tulsi plant at my home.

Nidhivan

The story and view of Rock at Radha Damodar temple will fill your heart with the true devotion. It is said that this rock is blessed and its four parikrama is equivalent to one parikrama of Goverdhan hill.

The flower decoration of Banke Bihari Temple known as phool bangla and the chants of Hare Krishna Hare Rama at ISCON temple are suffice to take a deep dive in the ocean of Krishna’s love.

The lighting and the idols inspired by the Krishna’s life events at Prem Mandir were mesmerizing.

Prem Mandir

The stories of Krishna are beyond human intellect. The ambiance at Vrindavan is beyond description. Each and every atom at Vrindavan is blessed by Krishna. I am thankful to Krishna to allow me to witness his divine presence at the magical land of Vrindavan.

DREAM :: ???

People have many explanations about this mysterious word and so do I. I feel the most intense feelings are the most difficult to explain in the words. Just imagine, how difficult it is to express your feelings when you are angry? How difficult is to express your love for your mother? Etc. Similarly, to explain the essence of a dream is so difficult.

I heard somewhere that dreams are nothing but the mirror of your thoughts running in your subconscious mind throughout the day. So does it mean that the people who saw nightmares, keep on thinking about vampires and witches throughout the day?? Well, who knows?

What I know is that if you are really aspire and passionate about a dream as I am about writing then:

“ ALL YOUR THOUGHTS WOULD BE ABOUT YOUR DREAM

BUT YOUR DREAM SHALL NOT BE ONLY A THOUGHT ”

Earthquakes – Emotional disaster rather than a Natural Disaster…..

After the heart quenching Nepal earthquake, aftershocks are frequently being felt.

However, I am more frighten with the “after situations” rather than the aftershocks. I am unable to watch images of the devastated buildings, roads, debris without a tear in my eyes. It’s more distressing to see one’s kids, family vanished in such a disaster within minutes than one’s own death. I often feel so heartbroken with these ruined houses and families and feel grudge about the God, why is he being so excruciating for thrashing people with such a disaster.

But then analytical part of my brain says that this is a natural occurrence. People says whatever happens, happens with the will of God and happens for the good. I never understood what the good in this situation was and probably will never understand.

Scientists have some kind of crazy explanations about the occurrence of earthquakes. And local people, they have their own craziest explanations which are certainly miles apart from any logic. Some of the perceived notions are like major destructive earthquakes always occur in the early morning, in a specific weather, some animals & people can sense and predict earthquakes, it is the way of God showing his wrath in Kalyug (fourth stage of the world development that we are currently in). I almost died of stomach ache due to laugh, when I heard someone proclaims that another big earthquake will happen in Delhi on 26th April’15 at 08:20 PM and spread this message like a fire in the jungle. I can’t believe how strong network they have. Jokes apart, I would like to inform that it is a myth that earthquakes occur at a specific time, weather etc. and no one can predict earthquake. Highly efficient machinery is used to monitor the changes of electrical and magnetic properties, velocity changes of seismic waves as some of the parameters might change due to the vibrations prior to earthquake, still it cannot be predicted accurately.

I would like to request these people if you really have such a strong network, kindly spread the ways to protect yourself during earthquakes instead of spreading void rumors.

I pray for Nepal and wish you all a happy and save life with your loved ones!!!

World Earth Week 2015 – April 20-24, 2015

“Earth Day”..??? Isn’t it sound crazy as we live on earth and each day is earth day but other way round Earth Day is celebrated because we don’t celebrate it every day.

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated to demonstrate support for an environmental protection. But why can’t we demonstrate support for our earth every day. Do we really need a specific day to protect our environment and that too annually?? Strange but true, I think we are not carrying out our responsibilities properly towards protecting the earth, environment and other non-renewable resources.

Actually, the problem is with the human nature, we generally take the things for granted which are either inherited to us or are free. We don’t need to hunt for oxygen.. we don’t need to dig a big pit every day to extract drinking water… we don’t need to do a major effort to switch on a light… Hence we take our environment for granted and subsequently we don’t realize our responsibility to protect it.

On the other hand, I am happy that atleast we are dedicating one day in a year to express our gratitude to the Earth.

On this Earth Week, I would urge all human beings on the planet earth to pledge with me that we shall look into ourselves and take our responsibilities seriously to protect the earth in every possible way. I pledge to switch off the lights whenever I evacuate the room, to plant Tulsi (basil) plant and to optimize water and electricity usage.

We all need to do our bit otherwise Earth Day shall keep on sound like Birthday…
