Apart from an - award-winning - author I'm a web developer and cartoonist who loves stories. I live in the UK with my wife, two children and two cats. I have a weakness for wine gums.

My first book: Sugar the Robot and the race to save the Earth was written following a story-telling time with my family. It was followed by the second book in the Roboteers series - Do not feed the Troll - a year later.

I'm very proud that Do Not feed The Troll! won the Wishing Shelf Independent Books Awards 2015 (6-8 yr old category)

I've also published a few short stories. All my work can be downloaded for free at my website as well as bought in paperback/e-reader formats. ...more

If …moreThe only way to beat writers block is to write but you don't have to force yourself to write what you're stuck on. I tend to write something else. If I'm stuck with a story I'll write some poetry, a synopsis for a new story, a blog post or maybe a review of a book I have recently read. This also gives me a lot of material for the future. Not all of it gets used but I normally find halfway through writing something I'll be inspired for the thing I was stuck on.(less)
