One Week!!!

I feel like I should be freaking out right now.

Only one week until Choose Us goes live.

But, I'm really not. Today I'm feeling pretty calm. Which is wonderful, since I'm sure next Thursday/Friday I'll be a complete and utter mess.
I'll save that for then though. I really don't want to be freaking out for a whole week. Although, I have a feeling that's exactly how I'll be the week after I publish.

Anyway - I finished with my paperback and will have a proof in my hand by next Wednesday (hopefully. Mr. UPS, please get it to me by then!).

I love it so much!! My friend Lisa designed the front (and the e-book) and I did the spine and back cover.

Teaser Tuesday & an Update

I know, I know... I really suck at this blogging thing.

I have an excuse.

I've been busy finishing up the edits on Choose Us.

And formatting it for Kindle.

And formatting it for paperback - which is seriously no fun!

But, I think I'm all done. I have two friends who are doing a final read through and then we're done. DONE!
Then it's just waiting anxiously until April 4th!

Oh jeez... April 4th is coming fast. Like freaking fast.

So that's what I've been doing. Any spare moment on the computer has been dedicated to formatting this book.

Hopefully now I'll have more time for this blog. Not that I'll ever have anything to talk about.. but still.

OH OH OH.
And I signed up for a blog tour! The tour will run April 14-25 (M-F). There will be a giveaway and reviews and... it's just going to be so freaking awesome!! So stick around my social media on those days as I'll be updating you with what blogs my book is on that day!

Tuesday... Again...

I am really horrible at updating this blog. Sorry.
I think it may be because I am a very boring person, so I have nothing really to talk about.
I mean, I can only talk about my book so much, right?

Anyway - I'm sitting here waiting for my edits to come back so I can correct them, do a final run through and hopefully have a finished copy.
I created the print cover for Choose Us last week, and cannot wait to get it uploaded to Createspace and get a proof in my hands. Do you know how awesome that will be?!?
And also, how terrifying?? I mean, holding an actual paperback copy of my book in my hands? Crazy, people. Crazy!
Also once I have it editing and finished I can send out some ARC's (Advanced Reader Copies). I'm thinking of giveaways or such. Not sure yet, but I know I will give some ARC's out.

Oh, and I signed up for a blog tour. From April 14-25 (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) my book will be read and reviews across many blogs. Again, excitement and terrified are my top two emotions.
I'll post more about the blog tour when the dates get closer.

As for today.... well, today is Tuesday, which means... teasers!
I posted one on my Twitter today, just a sentence..
And on Facebook, I'm letting you take control. Find my post and comment with a page number (1-245) and I'll post something from that page in the book.

Sneak Peek of Chapter One

Hello friends!

If you follow me on Facebook, you will know that this past Friday, Chapter One of Choose Us was featured in the back of Love & Decay S2E3 by Rachel Higginson.
Which both excited me and freaked me out... so much. I mean, people were actually going to read chapter one of my novel.
What.The.Crap?!

Well, I know a lot of the followers on my page haven't even read season one of Love and Decay (even though you should... because it is AMAZING!)... So, I thought I would post Chapter One here on the website.
I mean, if everyone else gets to read it, why not you too?!

Welcome!!

It's the start of a brand new website. A real website.
I'm starting to feel like an actual honest to goodness author, and that may be freaking me out a little bit.
I mean, me... little old Caylie from the middle of nowhere is going to publish a book in 4 weeks.

FOUR WEEKS!

The closer it gets, the more I feel like throwing up.

As of right now - I have so much to do. It's kind of ridiculous how much I've been procrastinating on finishing this up.
I mean, it's been edited about 5 times now, I'm in the home stretch right now.
I'm just having issues focusing on the book, when Veronica Mars is calling for me to watch it.

Yes, I know. I have a problem.
A friend told me I needed to join VMA (not the awards show).
It's probably the truth.
But what can I say? I have a weakness for hot boys. And for great shows.

Moving on....

So right now, there isn't much to this website.
I just got it up and running folks!

But hopefully, with time, there will be blog updates on book releases and whatever other random things I can think of.
