Erica Kiefer’s debut novel Lingering Echoes was published by Clean Teen Publishing in November 2013. She continued the series with Rumors (A Lingering Echoes Prequel) and her newest release Vanishing Act. All of her books can be read as stand-alone contemporary YA fiction, touched with romance, emotional drama and suspense. With a degree in Recreation Therapy from Brigham Young University, Erica’s experiences working with at-risk youth have influenced the realistic and relatable nature of her writing. Her first inspirational non-fiction entitled Borrowed Angel (published in April 2014 with Currawong Press) describes the loss of her infant son and her journey towards healing.

Married since 2005, Erica resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with her four children and can often be found satisfying her sweet-tooth with chocolate-chip cookies and a glass of milk. One day, she hopes to dust off her collegiate rugby skills and dive back into the game.
Facts about the Author
1.      When I am not writing, I like to get wrapped up in TV dramas with my husband once the kids are all asleep and the house is quiet! But I do love capturing the funny and tender moments happening all around me every day, in between the teasing, tears, and frustrations of my little ones. (I didn't specify whose tears and frustrations because it's often a combination of all of us!) I also love exercising outside with my Boot Camp friends.
2.      I am working on balancing my life! Writing had to take a back seat this past year after my son was born and I had three kids ages four and under to love and care for. Now I'm finally getting the urges to write again and finding a way to insert that into my life right now. This new series will be another contemporary romance that, so far, includes a secret, unethical adoption that rises to the surface when a stranger turns herself in to the police for the death of her child years ago.

Day 4 Valentine's Day Countdown Blitz by Loving the Book~Just Over the Horizon by Susan Rush

Is it possible for a traveling hospice nurse to find romance in a small southern town? After all, she is only passing through and needs to focus on her job--a job that requires compassion and dedication. She can't afford to have any distractions.
Since her grandmother's death, Sarah has been alone. No family. No friends. No distractions. Just the way she likes it. Traveling from town to town is an adventure, meeting new people, exploring new places, but could her solitary life be growing lonely?
Much to her surprise, two vastly differing men compete for her attention in the quaint, historic town of Camden, South Carolina. Nate, the adopted son of one of Sarah's patients, is a true Southerner with a sarcastic wit and genuine warmth. On the other hand, Dr. Joseph Thornton is a caring oncologist who is known as the best catch in the state. Who could say no to his Hollywood smile and emerald eyes?
No distractions. This is her goal as a hospice nurse. But distractions is exactly what she gets. Will she be tempted to put down roots in the small town?
It's a good thing Sarah's eccentric Nana left her a mysterious box. Nana's gift provides the guidance and comfort Sarah desperately needs as she faces heart-wrenching trials. Not only does she have the stress of caring for the dying, she has to visit patients in the ghetto. What dangers await a beautiful young nurse making home visits at night?
Enduring sadness and trauma, Sarah's childhood faith is shattered. She tries desperately to hold onto Nana's godly legacy, but it is slipping away. When a bizarre stranger appears at her door with devastating news about Nana's past, can her cherished box continue to provide answers and deepen her faith or will Sarah realize her life has been based on nothing but lies?

Susan grew up in Charlotte, NC and has a psychology degree from Furman University and masters in social work from the University of South Carolina. She jokes that God didn't lead her to a career in hospice; He took her kicking and screaming the whole way. Now passionate about end-of-life care, she loves providing care and counselling for those who are writing the final chapters of their life story. She presently serves as a hospice director in Columbia, SC where she lives with her adorable hubby and three phenomenal children. Her family of five are all fluent in sarcasm and on any given day, you can find them bantering away.

Snippet 1 -
As Nate slowed to survey the damage, he was shocked to see someone walking toward him in the middle of the drive. As he drove closer, he realized it was a young woman, and she was trudging more than walking. What in the world? Nate stopped beside her and rolled down his window. “Do you need some help?Sarah pulled wet locks from her face as she awkwardly adjusted her bag on her hip. “Can you please tell me where the Crabfields live?”Nate, who was seldom at a loss for words, couldn’t find his voice. Sarah raised her pitch as she pointed down the drive, “Do the Crabfields live down there?”Nate slowly nodded, his mouth agape.“Thank you.” Sarah gave a faint smile, squared her shoulders and began walking again. It took a minute for Nate to come to his senses. Where did she come from? She’s just out here in the middle of the sticks, soaking wet, covered in mud, acting as if she’s out for a stroll in the city... and those eyes.

To make matters worse, Becky starts having dreams that she is the greatest pitcher on the planet, and when she throws an orange in the cafeteria at more than 90 miles per hour, she has some questions for the boy who keeps disappearing.

The stronger Becky’s feelings grow for Danny the faster she throws, and the faster she throws the less he shows up! Suddenly she is offered the opportunity to try out for the varsity baseball team, a shot at being popular for once, but does this mean she has to give up the hope of ever finding true love? All answers come to light out behind the high school at midnight, on an old overgrown ball field in the woods behind the real one, fifty feet off the third baseline. It is a magic field. Day 2 Valentine's Day Countdown Blitz by Loving the Book~ Suspect's Daughter by Donna Hatch

Determined to help her father with his political career, Jocelyn sets aside dreams of love until she meets a mysterious gentleman with dangerous secrets. Working undercover, Grant’s only suspect for a murder conspiracy is the father of a lady who is getting increasingly hard to ignore. They must work together to find the assassins. England’s future hangs in the balance…and so does their love.

Excerpt:
Grant hung back, saying nothing, except a nod when Jocelyn introduced him. As she spoke to Lucy, Grant picked a tiny wildflower, crouched down, and presented it solemnly to little Flora. She took it, just as solemnly, and curtsied. His expression softened. Flora smiled. Two year-old Mary approached shyly, and did a little twisting kind of dance, chewing her lip and eyeing Grant expectantly. Kneeling to get eye-level with her, he offered her a flower as well. She beamed and accepted his gift as if he’d handed her a treasure. His eyes softened and his mouth curved. A smile. Jocelyn’s heart turned into the consistency of warm pudding. The crusty Grant Amesbury was gentle with children. And he’d smiled.

Day 1 Valentine's Day Countdown Blitz by Loving the Book~ Cross Examination by Denise Moncreif

Denise is a Southern girl who has lived in Louisiana all her life, and yes, she has a drawl. She has a wonderful husband and two incredible children, who not only endure her writing moods, but also encourage her to indulge her writing passion. Besides writing romantic suspense, she enjoys traveling, reading, and scrapbooking.

Accounting is a skill she has learned to earn a little money to support her writing habit. She wrote her first story when she was a teen, seventeen handwritten pages on school-ruled paper and an obvious rip-off of the last romance novel she had read. She's been writing off and on ever since, and with more than a few full-length manuscripts already completed, she has no desire to slow down.

Above all else, she must protect Gabby from Scott.

Maverick- book 9 In the Company of Snipers Series by Irish Winters

Irish Winters is an award-winning author who dabbles in poetry, grandchildren, and rarely (as in extremely rarely) the kitchen. More prone to be outdoors than in, she grew up the quintessential tomboy on a farm in rural Wisconsin, spent her teenage years in the Pacific Northwest, but calls the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah home. For now.The wife of one handsome husband and mother of three perfect sons, Irish divides her time between writing at home, and travelling the country with her man while – writing. (Seriously, what else?)
She believes in making every day count for something, and follows the wise admonition of her mother to, “Look out the window and see something!”
To learn more about Irish and her books, please visit www.IrishWinters.com

He’s heartsick and battle-weary. Maverick Carson returned home from war with too much pain and not enough honor. Searching for a way to forgive and forget, he quits The TEAM and starts to walk. He's walked all the way to Wyoming when the sight of a pretty girl riding a massive draft horse steals his breath—until the hillside gives way beneath the horse. Rushing to her aid, he runs straight into the world of China Wolf, the headstrong owner of the Wild Wolf Ranch and the owner of the finest Percherons in the country. She doesn’t need a man in her life.Never has. Never will. China Wolf has responsibility enough between the rowdy horses she loves, the wayward sister she tolerates, and the precocious niece she adores. Besides, Maverick’s made it clear he’d rather hit the road than hang around her ranch. Why should she care? She doesn’t—not until she glimpses the cowboy in his eyes. Maybe she needs a man after all.Just. This. One. Purchase this book here: http://www.amazon.com/Maverick-In-Company-Snipers-Volume/dp/1942895151

Casting Call! Leading Characters
The ruggedly handsome Josh Duhamel as Maverick
Maverick was one of Alex Stewart's junior agents before he got fed up with life and walked away from The TEAM. Recently returned from Afghanistan, he's a Marine who loves his country, but he still hasn't come to grips with the death of his younger brother. Dark-haired, scruffy and brooding, he's looking for something when he ends up in Wyoming. He just doesn't know what.

Olivia Wilde as the beautiful and determined China Wolf.
China is the owner of the Wild Wolf horse ranch in Wyoming. Long, black hair and deep blue eyes, she manages her 'kids,' a couple dozen Percheron draft horses, as well as a couple hundred head of cattle. Except for the help of two ranch hands, she does everything pretty much by herself and she's okay with that arrangement. She loves her life. The hard work. The Wild Wolf. Her kids. All of it.

Secondary Characters
The fiery Jessica Chastain as Leezel, China's sister. Leezel is one big party waiting to happen, and not in a good way. She's been running from responsibility since the day she was born. A mean-spirited woman, she's raising her daughter, Kyrie, on her own, not that that's a good thing. Leezel has chopped, chopped reddish-brown hair, dresses inappropriately, would rather be drunk than not, and chases men. Maverick included.

Mia Talericos is perfect for the roll of Kyrie, China's five year old niece.

Kyrie is a skinny and looks just like her Aunt China whom she adores and calls Andy China. She has a speech impediment, not that Leezel would notice. Kyrie loves the stray cats that hang around China's barn, but mostly, she craves China's love and affection.

I wish I did.”His hands brushed her arms as she slipped away from him and rushed to the bay window, staring out into the darkened forest beyond her property line. Once again, Naomi waited for the rush, the physical reaction when she caught a vision from someone’s past. Nothing. She pulled nothing from the man. Maybe he was one of those rare people who had no regrets. Or maybe there was a reason his torments didn’t invade her soul as others’ did. Her memory banks were so full of other people’s trauma her mind had no room for pleasant recollections of her own.His arms wrapped around her middle, and he whispered into her hair. “How much have you forgotten?”A strange way to word his question. Almost as if he knew how big her memory void was. As if he expected her to have an exact answer for the mystery that defined her existence. She didn’t know how much she’d forgotten. She might never. He had confronted her with the reality she’d been denying. Naomi couldn’t run far enough to escape a past she couldn’t remember. With a sigh of relief, she settled into his embrace, surprised at her reaction to a man she didn’t remember, reluctant to push him away just yet. Being in his arms felt so good, so right. She pulled nothing from him except a frisson of electrical heat, strong and powerful. An attraction she would not be able to ignore if she could trust him and let him into her life. How much had she forgotten? Her reply clung to the back of her throat, creating a huge clog of emotion. The truth screamed for freedom. It almost made it into the open
air, but once again, the unexpected happened.Naomi’s eyes riveted to the view behind her house, to a man beckoning her at the edge of the woods, motioning with one hand and swinging a lantern in the other. The sight sent a wave of unexplainable but somehow familiar dread through her.

Old Amarillo, Amish Journey's Book 1 by Sara Barnard

Disillusioned and feeling there is more to life than can be found on her family's Indiana farm, atypical Amish girl Katie Knepp bucks tradition and leaves everything behind, bound for a supposed Mennonite settlement rumored to be somewhere around Old Amarillo, Texas. But the trail to Texas is a hard one, laced with disease, would-be-could-be bandits, and a drought so severe that turning back isn't an option. During her epic overland struggle, Katie discovers friendship, even in the ever-present outlaw element, a strength in herself she'd never dreamed she possessed, and those in her past who refuse to become unwilling memories. Katie's story isn't Amish, nor is it western . . . it is uniquely Texan.

How it all came to be . . . A memory from Rumspringa had pushed its way gently to the forefront of her mind, blocking out the sudden wave of guilt that threatened to consume her. The duster-clad man’s face was as clear in her mind now as it had been that day on Rumspringa. He had looked first at her covering and then her plain purple dress when she’d accidently run into him on the boardwalk in New York City.Excusing herself, the stranger had simply touched the tip of his tall hat and offered her a warm grin. His accent, strange and wonderful, boasted a bit of a drawl that pulled on his letters in a way she’d never before heard. “Why, hello there, little lady,” he said. “I wonder now, what’s a young girl such as yourself doing up in these here parts?”Not knowing how to respond and unable to wrap her mind completely around the accent that was so unbelievably out of place, Katie simply stared back at the larger-than-life stranger. With a short laugh, he continued, “I do declare. You could be Joseph Goetz’s daughter. He did some work on my barn for me last summer. Did a right fine job of it, too. I would hire any Mennonite feller over a tinker any day of the week.” His blue eyes sparkled with some seemingly untold secret. “Tell me darlin’, you don’t happen to be from that little bee-keepin’ settlement outside of Amarillo, do you?”“Um, Am... Amarillo?” Katie twisted her tongue around the foreign word that didn’t sound entirely English.“Well, us Texans call it Amarillo. It’s the Mexican’s that named it though – Am-uh-ree-yo is how you say it proper. Means yellow.” He smiled again. “Either for those beautiful golden sunrises or all the blowing dirt, haven’t figured out which one yet.”Unable to help herself, Katie smiled back. “Amarillo. What a lovely sounding place. But I’m not from there. My family is from Gasthof Village, back in Indiana.”
