Susan Butler was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Despite creating stories in her head since childhood, and always enjoying a good mystery, she didn't initially pursue writing as a career. She followed a more practical course and in 1979 received a degree in business from the University of Missouri.

Over the years, plots continued to pop into her head. Relatively late in life, she found a plot that motivated her to see it through and published her first novel, "The North Wing," in November 2013.

Although she enjoys writing in various genres, which now include fantasy and most recently horror, mystery and suspense will always be the primary elements in her stories. ...more
