Who wants a teaser? YOU DO!
So today is my 25th and while normally I'd be walking around thinking I was Beyonce demanding the thank you's for having been born, this year its the big TWO FIVE.
Feeling it, people. Feeeeeling it.
In order to shake this funk off, I've decided to share a little bit of Emily's story with you! I know, I know how generous lol. Ya welcome! It's from Emily's POV and it's in the prologue. Like I mentioned this is set in the past, roughly four to five-ish years prior to Going Nowhere.
Enough blabber from me. Let's get to what you really want, shall we?
People are so fucking stupid. They think numbness is better than pain. So stupid. Numbness is pain. It’s waking death. It’s gray decay. It’s driving home from your birthday dinner, singing some stupid song with the two people who are always supposed to be there because that’s the fucking rules. It’s a stupid inch of rain sitting on the road. It’s bald tires that were going to get changed, but life got in the way. Life is constantly getting in the way until it hydroplanes right out of your grasp.
Life is losing everything in an instant.
And getting it all back with two pink lines.
Eeeeep! It's a short one! Sorry to be such a tease, but I had to share a little of what I've been working on with you! Just so y'all know, I've got something in the works for you guys the closer we get to the release of book 2. Which is still TBD, but I won't leave you hanging. I'll be teasing allllll along the way :) Do you wanna know what the biggie is? DO YA?!
Here's a hint: Super secret Epilogue from Going Nowhere and it's from soooomebody else's POV! Muahahaha!

Questions about book 2
So already I'm getting questions about book 2 which is both whoa and thank you. I thought I'd take a moment and explain a little about the series and book 2. First off, book 2 is Emily's book. It's also going to be set in the past. It will start with Emily finding out she's pregnant. This book is a complete departure from the light, easy-reading of Going Nowhere and I did this on purpose. The way I'm writing the series, it's more about the Scott family then anything or anybody else. I chose to start with Marisol because I liked the idea of an outsider meeting them like we would be. Marisol, like us, would be getting to know them and the more you get to know someone the deeper you get into their past.
In book 2 we will be seeing A LOT of Emily and Jason. They are such a different Em and Jase too. To be honest I had no intention of even writing a second novel until Tosh.0. I was watching it one night and a line kept repeating itself over and over in my mind until I finally opened up a Word doc and wrote. And hour later I had the entire first chapter and half of the second.
I'm writing all the time and hoping to finish by summer. It's a tough one to write hahaha. I've already cried twice so it takes a bit of an emotional toll on me! But stay tuned and follow on Twitter and Facebook because I will be posting updates, teasers, and excerpts there!
