Author's Note
A short, late post... sorry about that.Tomorrow... or rather later today... I will be driving to Montreal for the Worldcon and I don't know what will happen during that time. I will try to post but I truly cannot promise anything.Have a good Faib season! My money's on the Red Eagles, a sleeper team sponsored by Petiras Onaminas whose estate is near the mountain tunnel passes.... but then I have

90 - Open Season
The faibalitz season was opening with the last year's champions, the Fighting Anoseth Aitzas versus the Mahid team. The Mahid Team didn't have a fancy name, but then there was only one.The Fifty, the pre-eminent aitzas families were all there in force, with their families. The cream of the cream had the best and the most seats, those closest to the Imperial thrones. I sat still as I could in

89 - Who is He talking about?
I slid an anonymous note to the Speaking Elder into a parcel meant to go to the Embassy in Sailortown. If they opened it they wouldn't be able to trace it because I used their own office paper and pens to write it rather than my own stationary. I figured it would be a little obvious if I used the rose-petal paper and my silver ink. It said basically what happened to Misahis and that he didn't

88 - Confessed to the Flames
The Arkan Need for Atonement The correct term is actually not "Atonement". It is a misnomer to say that pain atones for pain. All it means is that more people are hurting rather than one feeling better and the other feeling worse. However, in Arko we are taught otherwise, as if we could somehow take on pain, sin and guilt and disperse it through their own bodies.

Back to a more normal schedule
Hey guys,Sorry for the delay. I'll post pictures of the wreckage that was part of my problem... No fatalities, no serious injuries... don't worry. I was also at a friend's cottage with no internet. I will be posting later today and Sunday as well. To make up for things a little...And thank you to everyone who donated. If the donation total per week is over 200 then I will write a bonus story

88 - It Answers To Shefenkas
In some ways I felt I had prayed to Selinae, as if my fear for my little brother in some way attoned for my badness. I felt a little more awake, a little more as if the knowledge of my evil had lifted a fraction lighter off my shoulders. It clamped down harder again when the Mahid delivered Father's gift to me, the miniature copy of Shefenkas, four eight days later, naked. He was delivered to

Hey there! There might be another post this weekend, since Karen and I are doing the novel marathon in Huntsville. Cram a building with a bunch of wild-eye'd writers, lots of computers, food and coffee and give them incentives to produce words from Friday to Monday. Lots and Lots of words and weirdness, especially when someone tries to do it all without sleep!More updates to come! It's all in good

86 - Spark of the Sun's Ray, What are you Doing?
"Centurion!" I didn't shout, to not startle my brother to his death. "Why in Hayel isn't someone going after the Coronet?""Spark!" He looked frantically between his men holding the cloak, to Kaita who wept in terror for Ilesias to me. "I cannot ask my men to risk their souls to go up to get the Coronet Regal!"The nurse, in her skirts and a woman, could not climb up and the guards didn't dare,
