When there's only five days left until launch, the hours are filled with: emailing bloggers. Thanking bloggers. Emailing co-authors in your box set. Thanking co-authors in your box set. Trying not to stare at your Amazon ranking as it climbs the charts. And... wishing your head was clear enough to work on book #2!

New Author Photo! And it's a Group Shot.
I love my new author photo, complete with chickens. The brown one is "brownie." (I know, not the most original name. Blame my second grader.) And the blondies are Marilyn and Queen Elizabeth The First. There are chickens in my new book. So... it's all in character.

Do you read Gothic Romance? A Boxed Set Deal from Harlequin-E
So, Harlequin-E is a brand new imprint, and they're shaking things up over there. While most full-length Harlequin ebooks are $2.99 to $3.99, they're bringing four books in one box for just $4.99. The January box, published today, contains four Gothic romances.
Three months from now, the box will disappear into the ether (I just made a Gothic reference!) and then each book will sell individually at normal (read: higher) prices. It's a great way to try four new authors.

Tis the Season to Follow Snowboarding
There are five half pipe events in which snowboarders score points to try for the US Olympic team. There are some rookies on the podium lately, people! This past weekend youngsters Taylor Gold and Ben Ferguson made it up there. And also Greg Bretz. New faces. Very exciting!
