http://www.traceyannemccartney.com
Hi everyone ;o) Hope you're all enjoying summer, it seems to have finally arrived, huh? Well, it's been quite the year already. Still trying to squeeze in some art activities, please bear with me.
I wondered, hoped, that some of you would kindly pop over to the book website and let me know your thoughts. What you liked or weren't keen on. What would you like to see more of? At present I'm blindly posting what I feel may...

Textile Artists :o)

Hi everyone :o)
I thought you'd love to see some wonderful work by amazing textile artists. I have a weakness for mixed media, especially when artists use fibers. Quite some time ago, I studied surface design, loved every minute. It's incredible what you can create using marbles/elastic/bands and a mix of other materials. Here goes: Arty Love
Roxanne Evans Stout.
Maggie Ayres
Rahola Drdul
Carol Walker

Bonnie Scotland Trip - Part Two - Inchmahome Isle - Nun's Walk and Nun's Hill

Nun's Walk and Nun's Hill
Scottish Folklore
Inchmahome,  a place of beauty and retirement— where Nature has richly displayed her varied charms— combined with the ever hallowed associations that are heard in every echo, that linger in every glen, that rest on the .heathery hillside, and are wafted back by every balmy breeze which floats around its shores — the Lake of Monteith, and the fairy islands that nestle on its bosom, stand alone in their glory.  Fabulous wall ruins e...

Bonnie Scotland Trip - Part One - Inchmahome Priory :o)

THE TROSSACHS
Woohoo! Back from Scotland. Had a wonderful time visiting the places mentioned in the book, prior to last revisions, in time for the release in October 2015.

Inchmahome Island in Lake Menteith Part One - Inchmachome Priory
The name "Inchmahome" comes from the Gaelic Innis MoCholmaig, meaning Island of St Colmaig.
The priory was founded in 1238 by the Earl of Menteith, Walter Comyn, for a small community of the Augustinian order (the Black Canons). The Comyn family were on...

Llyn y Fan Fach and the Physicians of Myddfai.

It was no dream; or say a dream it was, Real are the dreams of gods, and smoothly pass Their pleasures in a long immortal dream.           John Keats

A striking tale from the Mabinogion featuring Llyn y Fan FachThe nearby village of Myddfai claims fame as the birth place of modern medicine and the legend of the Physicians of Myddfai. Myths about The Lady of the Lake persist from ancient times and some believe that the Arthurian legend of the famous Lad...

Books I've read.

Books and Authors
My reading tends to cover more factual/mythical areas, but listed below are some of the fictional books I more recently read. It's going to take me a while to get through the 'Outlander' series as I'm also writing, but wow, completely enjoyed so far. :o)
The Outlandish Companion: Companion to Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, and Drums of Autumn (Outlander)

This is a compendium of layers behind the books. The mind working behind the scenes. Some may say, a...
