Worldbuilding #10b – River Sediment and Floodplains
As I mentioned, there are a lot to rivers. You can simply draw a squiggly line from point A to point B and call it a day, but if you really want to understand the how and why of a river, especially if you are seeking an accurate story, then we need to go into finer detail of rivers.
In reading this, you may ask why do we need to go into so much detail about rivers. Often times in narrative, rivers are treated as water inside a ditch. It’s more complicated that that. In knowing how rivers work,...

Kickstarter — Day 30, 30 Days Left
It has been 30 days since I started my kickstarter campaign and while I so far have 14 backers, I am at $184. Now I do not mean to sound ungrateful, as every $1 counts towards my goal, but I really need people to start donating if I am going to reach my goal by the end of the next 30 days. I know $3000 seems like a lot, but to do 5 books, it is not that much money. It would barely be enough to cover my expenses. Which is why I asked for that amount specifically.
I am thankful for those that ha...

Daygar Legacy – Templar Five – Chapter 1 Part II
I’m pleased to announce that part 2 is of the first chapter of Templar Five, of the Daygar Legacy series.
This is an important one, as it introduces a lot of the problems that will be featured in the first book as well as the entire series. We learn about why Jacques was so hesitant about fighting the vampires, and why they had been riding a month to get here if there are vampires to hunt.
A few have read it and have given me good remarks on it. Remember that this is only a first draft of the s...

Guest Blog: Simplicity Does Not Fix Complexity on Godless Mom’s Blog
I try to avoid political discussion on this blog. It is about writer’s education, not a soapbox for my ideology. I may post elsewhere what it is, my blog is safe from this. However, after seeing some comments on it and talking to some friends, they’ve encourage me in posting this.
Please note that I don’t believe all of religion are unthinking. Nor do I believe anyone of religion is stupid. I remark my personal experience in dealing with people while having a disability. I respect anyone with...

Book Review – Positive/Negative Traits and Emotional Thesaurus
In response to my offering these 3 books for the $4000 stretch goal, I am going to do a review on why I think the books are so good and why you should get them.
I want you to know right away that I give these books all 5 star ratings. However, on my blog, I give a 100 point rating, and I will try to explain as best as why I give the score I do.
I have never done 3 books at once for a review, so I am looking forward to this challenge. The three books I am reviewing today:
Positive Traits Thesaur...

Worldbuilding #10a – Basic Rivers
Welcome to another edition of my Worldbuilding series. Due to massive amounts of information about rivers, it will be very difficult to sum them up in 1 – 2 articles, and so, I am dedicating the month of September to Rivers. I hope to do 3 – 4 articles this month about rivers, providing a lot of key information and teach you some techniques in how to put rivers on your map. This will be the most extensive section of map making and you will now understand why we waited so long to do rivers.

Kickstarter Update — New Look & New Video
Seems like every few days I am doing an update. Change is always good. So, two big announcements, a new look and a new video.
So I got some feedback from a few of you about my kickstarter, recommending ways for me to improve it. I do listen to what all of you have to say and while I may not implement all the changes, I do what I think will be the most beneficial to me.
First, you will notice a reduction of tiered items. I took off some of the map selections as well as and all the special mentio...

Kickstarter Update — New Stretch Goal: $4000
I have a brand new stretch goal. For those who don’t know, when it comes to Kickstarter, a Stretch Goal is when you reach a certain amount of money, the person doing the Kickstarter offers something. Sometimes it is a feature in their product or they offer something that can be purchased.
I have designated already what my Stretch Goals will be, starting with when I get my $3000 goal to by some miracle getting $25,000. Some of my goals is a gift to the those who donate to get extra features, an...

IWSG – Kickstarter
I’ve been neglecting this the last few months and I apologize. I’ve been very busy with my Kickstarter campaign. I am doing everything I can for that to be successful, but out of 15 days since my Kickstarter started, I have $139. Assuming I need $50 a day in order to meet my goal, I am $561 behind.
I am really scared I won’t make my goal. I hate it because I am working so hard on it, and I felt that the amount was so small. Perhaps I should have set it for releasing 1 book rather than 5, but e...

Kickstarter Update — Daygar Legacy Titles + Supplements
Not exactly big news, but important none-the-less. I have mapped out the names of my first five novels. These are subject to change, but help me know the direction I am going and makes it a bit more real. This whole thing is real for me, but with writing, things can always become more real when you are first starting out.
I won’t be listing what they are about, as these novels will be between 30 – 100 pages, and won’t have a lot of lot of description that wouldn’t ruin the story for you. Howev...
