Nearly done ...
It has been a busy week for Tom out on the road, but I think you'll agree it has been worth it. I just hope the many positive reviews about his 'cuteness' and 'charm' don't go to his head. Today he pulled his wagon up in front of Born Bookish's Blog, where he paused for a photo in front of his wagon. Wix, as usual, is nowhere to be seen. He really is a pretty unreliable steed when it comes down to it. And in case you have never heard of a stoat and want to know what one is, it is a kind of angry weasel.

Another stop
Tom has clearly pleased his hosts over at WS Momma Reader's Nook. You can read the review here.
It seems people like the fact that Tom sings during his adventure but until now, no one has said what they think about the songs themselves. Two are recorded with a violin and an accordion, and one is sung 'a capella'. The notes and lyrics can be found and learnt here.
Enjoy the musical adventure!

Tom has arrived safely at the first stop on his blog tour.
Tom begins his tour of the net today, and his first stop was at Cover 2 Cover. Thank you Stephanie for hosting him. He sent a picture of himself standing in front of his wagon before left for the next stop (hopefully he doesn't get lost along the way, which he probably will).

Audible agrees to distribute Addison's Tales!
To round off a wonderful week in the history of Addison's Tales, today the carefully prepared audio books have appeared on Amazon Audible. Have a listen to my personal favourite and be sure to visit www.addisonstales.com to discover more.

Here are a couple of reviews:
"Harry the Huntsman" is an enchanting, well-written tale... there was never a dull moment - I honestly didn't want to put it down the whole time I read it. The story is intriguing, the pacing good, and the characters loveable.
-- Geekswithjuniors
Most young readers will simply be enthralled with the timeless quality of the storytelling in "Harry the Huntsman". After all, it's hard to go wrong with talking spiders and a gang of bugs on the warpath!

Interview about Addison's Tales
The founder of Wivern Digital, the company converting my tales and stories into formats for people to enjoy, has been interviewed about Addison's Tales here.
I really have to sort out this 'email' thing. The only thing that seems to come through the spam filter is spam, so I never seem to get proper messages. If you ever need to reach out to me, please do so on goodreads. You can write to me even if you are feeling bored or lonely. I don't mind :)

Publication tomorrow
As you might imagine, I am a little excited to hear what the real world thinks of my fairy world once Tom Thorneval is published tomorrow. It is a strange feeling knowing that the words once tumbling and bobbling through my mind and out onto the page are now to be read by people I do not know and may never meet.
But what gives me the most happiness is sharing the music in Tom's tale with you all. They really are catchy little tunes that he sings, and I suspect (and hope) you'll say, 'hmm, I know that tune - it sounds very old, but somehow I already know it.' Some people tell me they hum them after reading, and are even their 'shower songs'. I visited a neighbour recently and she was singing one melody to her little daughter.
Still, I cannot claim credit for the music. The characters simply sing me their songs and I hum them as they are. I pass them on to you without much tampering. Here is one example from the opening of Tom Thorneval (and if you listen to the others in the set, don't read the lyrics, as they contain spoilers). In the book, the you'll hear the full sung versions through a musical portal that leads to the source of the music (QR code).
If you like the songs and my approach to storytelling, please share your discovery with your real world friends. I hope to create much larger works filled with similar songs if things go well with Tom, and I can see that people like him, his tale and the music that seems to come from another time and place.

Then you will be able to discover if Tom ever reaches the side of his beloved Mary.

"The first night I wove her a ring formed of ivy,
grown by the shores of the river run free.
I wove it by the light of the full moon rising,
and told her my love was a river to her sea."
A passage from the song "Got to get to Mary" found inside the pages of Tom Thorneval - Dream Merchant Extraordinaire out August 8.
