Random colors in your ASCII art

One of the great things about writing your own scripts is that when you need new functionality, you can add it. I needed random colors in a single-character ASCII art image. It was easy to add to the asciiArt script. Here’s how.

OPPO DV-980H DVD player tray won’t open, won’t close

There is one rubber belt in the OPPO DV-980H DVD player that I could find. It’s used for opening and closing the tray. It is easily replaced if the tray has trouble opening and closing.

Sub-Etha Software linked on Hacks

“Sub-Etha Software was started in 1990 by Allen Huffman and Terry Todd. It originally sold software for the Tandy/Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer (CoCo), both for Disk BASIC (RS-DOS) and Microware’s OS-9 Level 2. A few years later, Joel Hegberg joined and operated the OSK Midwest Division based in DeKalb, Illinois. This expanded Sub-Etha’s offerings to programs for the Interactive Media Systems MM/1 computer, which ran OS-9/68000 (OSK).” If you’re following me mainly for the TRS-80 Color Computer stuff, you will enjoy the Sub-Etha Software site. I barely remember them from back in the day—they got in a year or two before I got out, as I recall.

Media Scare Machine: The Sky is Falling
