"Throughout the book, Tanzer makes ordinary moments –the minutiae of life- extraordinary." 99 Problems gets Desert Book Chick'd. And likes it. A lot.

Big awesome thanks to Amanda at Desert Book Chick for her kick-ass review of 99 Problems. We plan to buy you drinks as well whenever and wherever we meet. For real.

"Throughout the book, Tanzer makes ordinary moments –the minutiae of life- extraordinary. There is a lyrical rhythm in his prose, much like a perfect run, when your breathing comes in straight away, the cadence is in your soul, and everything just flows.

This sense of flow, of well-crafted, remarkable prose is in each and every one of Tanzer's sentences. The offset of this: Tanzer also demystifies what it means to be a runner.

It's there, in everyone's grasp."

"Running might mean a little too much to Ben. I can relate." 99 Problems gets Y24K'd. And likes it. A lot.

Big thanks to author and new BFF Ray Charbonneau at the Y42K blog for his quite thoughtful review of 99 Problems. Drinks on us for sure whenever and wherever we meet.

"The title of the book comes from a Jay-Z song, where Jay-Z has his problems, but not with women. Running is Ben's "bitch". If you agree with Ben that, "I can eat later. I can sleep later. I can drink coffee later. But there's no guarantee that I will be able to run later. Shit happens. I'm gone," then this book is for you."

99 Problems. PANK. And the unfirm line.

Quite digging this post on the PANK blog by TBWCYL, Inc. favorite Bl Pawelek wherein he talks 99 Problems, fear and parenting. Big thanks bro.

"It is also clear to me that age brings fear, and there is no doubt that everything scares me more than it used to."

Ben Tanzer, 99 Problems

Never been a scaredy cat, never been worried about what went bump next to me in the dark. However, Tanzer reaches a point of truth, albeit parental truth.

I have never known fear like I have as a parent. I am sure this is no grand epiphany. However it is pure.

The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live and full of doting women. Or something like that. So please see the below link. We have a new story The Session by Lorraine Sears, which we are way excited about, and, (almost) as always, photo action from Adam Lawrence, music curation from Jason Behrends and campaign prose love from Pete Anderson. We hope you enjoy this edition and we appreciate all shout-outs and links. Finally, please note, we are hoping more of you will submit comix, and music, and combinations there of. And most finally, three is a magic number. For real.
