"If his other books have half the power of this book, he has a new fan for life. Thank you, Ben." My Father's House gets Mourning Goats'd. And likes it. A lot.

It is quite cool to be thanked, that said, we need to be thanking the Mourning Goats for their most kind words about My Father's House. We also need to be buying drinks, somewhere, some how, soon. And will. Now, some excerpt.

"If I can offer any recommendation, it's read this book while you're on the treadmill at the gym. Not only will it keep your mind off the burn, but it'll inspire you to go further, the only thing I can apologize for is the looks you'll get when it's not sweat falling down your cheeks, it's tears."

The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live. Full of Moment. And Will.

P1170894
The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live. We have a new story, Moment Guy by Brandon Will, which we are way excited about, and, (almost) as always, photo action from Adam Lawrence, music curation from Jason Behrends and re-election prose love from Pete Anderson. We hope you enjoy this edition and we appreciate all shout-outs and links. Finally, please note, we are hoping more of you will submit comix, and music, novel excerpts, and art, and video, yes, video, and combinations there of. And most finally, a moment of appreciation for the Adam Yauch - "I've got more rhymes than I've got grey hairs and that's a lot because I've got my share."

"So, so, so, so listen up 'cause you can't say nothin'. You shut me down with a push of your button. But yo, I'm out and I'm gone. I'll tell you now I keep It on and on dam!" Adam Yauch (1964 - 2012)

New joint. Ding. Barrelhouse. Spring 2012 Online Issue.

Very geeked to have our new joint Ding in the most excellent Barrelhouse Spring 2012 Online Issue, which is not only edited by the always stellar Tom Williams, but contains an array of fine writers we love, including, but not limited to the Molly Gaudry and Jesus Angel Garcia. Now, how about some excerpt? Word.

"If there is a problem, yo, I’ll resolve it, check out the hook while my DJ revolves it.
It has always been about love, seriously, straight up, love of music, love of words, language, telling stories and making people happy, all up on their feets and loving life. And I do love everyone, even the haters, the liars, the disparagers and those big pimpin’ motherfuckers who will do anything to bring someone down the second they get any kind of props.
Which is why I never got it, I don’t get it and never will. I can’t fathom it really, truthfully, none of it. Some of y’all will say I’m not willing to get it, that the shit is obvious, obvious to everyone but me. But to that I say, why am I a joke? I didn’t kill no ones, I didn’t rape no ones, I didn’t lie and I didn’t steal. I kept it real yo, legit.
So what up?"
