A Decade later
This month, December 2023 marks the ten year anniversary of the publication of my first book, 'The Diaries of a Dooram - A Collection of True Short Stories', little did I know at the time just how much the publication of this first book would go on to change my life, and the doors which it would open.

When I wrote this first book I did it simply because all of my life I had wanted to write a book, it was never something that was planned to be released commercially but things just snowballed and ten years later I am more addicted to writing than I have ever been, now with over 20 books published.
Because my first book was really the catalyst to changing my life in many ways I felt that I should mark the decade milestone from it first being published and to do this I have written 'The Diaries of a Doorman - Reloaded'

My First Book
Stu ArmstrongWhen I published the first edition of The Diaries if a Doorman - A Collection of True Short Stories, a week before Christmas 2013 I was in for a shock, I never ever thought that my book would take off the way it did.
On the first day it sold 30 copies and I was pleased with that, on the second it just took off and the third I just went through the roof!
Then I waited for the feedback and the comments, a little apprehensively granted, but I had now reason to worry, the comments coming to the Facebook page were all amazing and the Amazon reviews all 5 Star ratings and fantastic comments.
I am now working on a second book which was never the plan, so many people have asked me to write a second one as they loved the first one so much that I can hardly refuse. So to all of you who bought the first edition of my book ‘The Diaries of a Doorman – A Collection of True Short Stories’ Thank you! You have inspired the follow-up book that is due for release in early spring 2014.

Stu ArmstrongLast night when I finished my shift all I wanted to do was go home and sleep, but on the way I chased and caught a man that had stolen a woman’s handbag and reunited her with it, she was so drunk she didn’t know where she was, I made sure that she was safe and put her into a taxi to get her home. Just as I was near to my car I saw three lads beating the living shit out of one lad, I chased them of and checked he was ok……………………..... I bet you don’t see that on YouTube!”
