“You have a very dirty mouth, Monica; I didn’t know that about you.” Malcolm cocked his head to the side as he studied her, then he moved toward her on the table.
Not wanting to be trapped on the hard surface and Malcolm again, Monica made an attempt to scrabble of the table and, in her haste, didn’t plant her left foot properly before stepping forward with her right, pitching her forward into Malcolm’s hard chest. Malcolm’s hands grabbed her arms to steady her, pulling her close. Monica’s body flushed with heat again being near him, and she panicked. Monica planted her hand on his chest, pushing to be released and, for a minute, his grip tightened before letting her go, taking a step back away from her.
Licking her suddenly dry lips, Monica watched as Malcolm’s eyes left hers to follow the sweep of her tongue as she wetted them, and then he growled. Monica’s eyes widen in shock at his sudden caveman antics. What happened to the cold and contained man she used to work for? Monica thought before she watched him take another step toward her. Monica held up her hand and sputtered.

Small excerpt from my novel.
“What are you doing here? How do you know about this place?” Monica fired her questions at him. She was bewildered that Malcolm was standing right there in front of her, instead of being in New York.
Monica, not believing that this was real and that she must be dreaming, reached over and pinched his shoulder hard. Malcolm yelped in pain and looked at her in surprise. Hey, I am not about to inflict pain on myself, especially since he deserves it.
Malcolm scowled, and Monica scowled right back.

The chase is on….
To save my company, I must follow the whims of an old woman. I am ruthless in the pursuit of getting what I want, and what I want now is to get my company out of the red. I will play her aunt’s games until this is all over and bring my runaway secretary to heel. Monica thought she could run from me, but I need her to make this happen. I will find her and convince her that we are meant for each other. How hard can that be? I know she has feelings for me, and no one can resist the St. Pierre charm. No matter the cost, I will win.
It is time I did something for me. The first order of business was to resign from Malcolm’s company. Working by his side was torture even before I found out how he really felt about me. Well, let’s just say it was the last straw and the push I needed to leave. Now I am on my way to my new and exciting adventure at Stella’s ranch and to put my unwanted feelings for Malcolm in the past. No matter what, nothing is going to stop me from the pleasure I deserve.

Monica narrowed her eyes.
“Well?” Monica tapped her foot, her patience growing thin.
“So where did this feisty personality come from, hmmm? Five years working for me, and I never saw this side of you.” Malcolm raised a dark eyebrow, looking at her like she was a curious specimen under a microscope.
Then he took a step toward her. Monica gasped and then took a step back, hitting the table; she looked down and then skirted around it to put more space in between them, but Malcolm caught her arms in his hands, stopping her from moving away from him. His gaze traveled down from her eyes, sweeping across her face then lower, his green orbs arresting on the quick rise and fall of her chest. With Malcolm’s hot gaze resting there, Monica’s body could not help itself and ........
Malcolm groaned before continuing down her body to her toes before his gaze traveled back to meet hers. A sharp squeal escaped her when he suddenly turned her around facing away from him and then spun her back.
“And why did you hide this body from me? And more importantly what the ...... are you doing in a place like this?” Malcolm barked.
“None of your ......business! I don’t answer to you anymore,” Monica snapped back and lifted her chin in defiance when his eyes widened in surprise. That’s right, buddy, your little mouse has a roar now.
Monica narrowed her eyes.

Sorry it took me a while, but Malcolm and Monica's story is now available. These two characters were introduced in my first novel Best Friends and now they have their own story.
