I have complete faith you could recreate the color palette of a mainstream artist, but why would you want to when your french homage mild colors are so unique? Not to mention the limited color range has such a powerful “popping” effect when you sprinkle in
Thanks!
In the past I was much harsher about styles that I didn’t like the look of. I think I’ve gained some respect for work I see that isn’t my thing but is something that I don’t know if I could recreate.
I do think there’s a kind of magic in simplicity and I love when it’s possible to create something nice with just a few well placed lines and colors.
I will say, the more sour sides of me does wonder how someone’s brain works when I see a ton of work put into something that I don’t see the appeal in. to each their own and all that…

Love your shit man. Thoughts on Midjourney? Have you used it? Know anything about it?
Thanks much!
I’ve head a lot of talk about AI art recently, and a friend of mine even put out an AI generated comic.

I haven’t personally used it. It’s cool that people are having fun with it.
from the outside it feels like Google to me, a thing where you type in an idea and get a bunch of images. I could see artists using it as reference material, a tool to help them find weird images to riff off of.
I’ve seen people talking about it replacing art jobs – maybe in some ways it will eventually, but I would still make hand drawn comics if I was alone in the woods. the process is a big part of the value of the work for me.
We certainly live in interesting times.
