"Virtue Signaling." Your friend Hayley means "virtue signaling." If that's a real concept to you then your head's in the wrong place about this, buddy. You have power. Real power in this business and the company, Brandon. I'd like to think you haven't used
I regard helping as trying to bring more diverse voices into comics– and making sure that they get paid. & that’s not always a thing you see my name on but it’s one of the things I’m most proud of doing with my ties to Image and something I’m continuing to do.
You should admit your social progressiveness extends to your sexual fetish for trans girls and not one iota past that. This twitter shit is embarrassing and showing your true colors
I like how your idea of defending REAL social whatever is to act like me having dated some trans women has to be a fucking fetish. Get all the fucking way out of here with that garbage,
I’ve mostly tried to be polite (mostly) while fellow creators were casually calling me a white supremacist and a bitch –because as my pal Hayley put it I “didn’t do a preformative twitter callout” on a book I could get for free but wasn’t gonna read anyway.

not a question, just saying i'm still waiting on those king city/multiple warheads deluxe editions!
I dunno if there will be deluxe editions of those. Prophet is more likely– but thanks

You are what you eat.
I like,Mirror, 7 to Eternity, Extremity , Paklis, Sunbakery. Planetoid, Sex Criminals , Lose ends, Wik Div. Ringsde, Rumble (I’m sure I’m leaving some out)
Also, at BOOM, Godshaper and The Unsound
and at Dark horse, Empowered, Stokoe’s Aliens: dead orbit , Harrow county , Shaolin cowboy
wait i've been out of the loop for a while - why is ISLAND ending?
sales, politics etc etc
I don't think I've seen you draw black characters / features until the 2004 Heavy metal Sci-fi special you recently reblogged. Any reason you don't do much? (Most of your girls are thicc/large, I guess I mean black men) (no I don't count sachmett
the 2nd published series I did around 99′ (Universe so big) was about a black woman, Mari and her brother, Jaxson –
Mari wasn’t ever shown in the sexual way I draw more women these days. Sometimes I think my work was coming from a different place pre-porn.

I did some pre-Universe stuff with Jaxson too. I feel like I drew a wider variety of races in the past – Maybe that’s because Warheads has only 3 main human characters that are all white. My next series has a black woman as one of the lead characters too (mostly because I wanted to draw Josephine Baker)
I wonder if part of it is that when it comes to things like showing the experiences of black people in comics I’d rather see someone who comes from that background talk about it than just my ideas on it– but like I said– I DO wanna draw Josephine baker so that’s also enough reason for me.

Do you have any thoughts on the recent controversy with Berliac, and D&Q's decision to cancel their publication of his book?
I thought what he said was dumb, and I don’t have much sympathy for him since he was going at a pal of mine. but I thought it was weird for D&Q to pull his work because of it. – I know Sarah is big on separating art from the artist but I also assume she’s not losing any sleep over D&Q not publishing him.
