Some More Good News
Every day is not this good. In fact, most days don’t even approach this level of self-satisfaction or pure unadulterated happiness.
Today, however, today things are falling into place for me. Today my little A-bear willingly dunked his face into the pool. I’ve written nearly two-thousand words, and my eldest is serenading me with my guitar. Oh, and I almost forgot, I have a second story included in an upcoming Chronicles anthology.
I’m up to four anthologies this year and the word count just...
Inspiration-o-the-Day
Some more DivArt browsing revealed this elf carving a wave face with a big moon in the background. This made me think of my good friend and brother from another Mother Tim (who incidentally makes that exact face when he is surfing) and makes me want to drop all this post-apocalypse stuff I’ve been working on for something that will stoke.
Happy Thursday nerds!

Quality
As a person who has lost a great deal of his ability with a pen this touched me deeply. Even before my episode of seizures my penmanship was a dwindling affair. I spent endless hours behind a keyboard and almost no time using a stylus of any sort. Now with whatever went wrong in my brain my hands feel like paws when I try to apply ink to the page. I usually end up with a splitting headache and will likely only be able to read one in a handful of words. You should see my grocery lists, they’r...

Hugo Voting

“Insect Rider” – Rogier van der Beek (from DivArt cause I’m a junky)
Just in case you weren’t aware and haven’t already played your cards, this Friday is the last day to vote for this year’s Hugo. Add to this that it’s also Wes Chu‘s last chance to win a Campbell (which is NOT a Hugo) and the flames of motivation should be turned up to high under your collective bums. Time to get‘er done.
If you’re like me and couldn’t make it through the entire reading list before the deadline there are plen...

Galaxy Chronicles

Not the final cover image
Some news, yes? A few of you may know already, but I figure since the manuscript is out there I’d go ahead and make a public service announcement. That’s right, this will go down on your permanent record. Oh yeah? Well don’t get so distressed. Did I happen to mention that I’m impressed?
Boys and girls, your’s truly snuck into the next-next edition of the Future Chronicles curated by Samuel Peralta. I signed a contract to write a story for Galaxy Chronicles less than...

State-by-state breakdown of crazy
This morning I cranked up the radio and was surprised to learn that Americans moved a smidgen closer toward full equality. Yeah, that’s right SCOTUS has ruled that marriage has nothing to do with gender. It’s all about the commitment baby. Cheering could be heard from my Prius as we bounced along Dockton road on our way to breakfast out.
Then, out of no where, NPR started airing dissentingopinions. This parade of somber, bigoted asshats reminded me of why I p...
