IBPA and PubWest Unite to Become One Organization - Publishers Weekly

A short update before Panzer delivers today's publishing news. Our property is starting to look better. We discovered one of our apple trees did get blown over, but the others are fine.

Some schools, libraries and stores are still without power, so they're closed. There's still about 250,000 people without electricity in western Washington.  That's about half what it was yesterday.
On to Panzer's reporting:
According to a post by Nathalie op de Beeck,at Publishers Weekly, the IBPA (Independent Book Publishers Association) and the PubWest (Publishers Association of the West) members have voted to become one organization. This will give the combined membership access to each associations resources.
Panzer saytys, "The larger membership will bring more visibility too."
Note: This is a long post. Bring a cup of tea and two chocolate chip cookies (biscuits).

No News Today Except An Update

First, Panzer wants everyone to know we made it through the storm.

Last night turned out to be the huge storm as predicted by the local weather people. In western Washington we got hit by what's called a Bomb Cyclone. Wind gusts were fast and hard. Trees got blown down and today there are blocked roads. There are over 600,000 people without electricity. Some businesses, libraries and schools are closed.

None of our trees came down, but we do have branches from them down everywhere. It's a good thing we have a gas powered chainsaw. Our yard is full of stuff blown in from the neighbors around us, but the worst of the winds missed us.

All this is to explain why we're taking another day off reporting. We should have everything cleaned up tomorrow. Panzer, Mom and What's His Name

A Monday Panzerism

 Panzer on maintaining your dignity:
The main thing about being a proper cat is ... always act like you know what you're doing.
Like ...
When you dive head first into the window ...chasing the bird outside ...
Or ...
Panzer says, Really ... I wanted to do that. Really ... I wanted to do that.*
When you dive head first into the toilet bowl ...chasing Mom's toothbrush.
Just stick your tail straight up in the air
and ...
saunter away like you meant to do it.
