As we edge closer to the end of December and a new year, Panzer found a post at the Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity site about writing contests in January.
 Erica Verrillo's post contains 43 writing contests with submission deadlines in January. There are contests for fiction. flash fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and more. Some have submission restrictions. All are free to enter.

Panzer says, "Some have a January 1 submission deadline so you'll need to hurry with your entries."

Free Publishing Perspectives Forum at Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 Videos

I looked everywhere. There's just nothing here today.
There's not much going on in the Catosphere today, so Panzer is giving you the link to the Publishing Perspective's Forum at the the Frankfurt Book Fair.

 Erica Verrillo's post lists 11 conferences and workshops through out the month of January. They are all lengths from one day to one week. The conference and workshop subjects covered range from writing to publishing and marketing.
Panzer says, "Be sure to check the guidelines before you signup."
