Sound Judgment - The Rap Sheet

Panzer made a quick trip into the Catosphere today. Our little kitty pilot stopped in at The Rap Sheet site. There he found a post about the Audie Awards. The Audie Awards are presented by the Audio Publishers Association.
J. Kingston Pierce lists the two mystery/thriller winners and nominees of the Audie Awards. The post includes links, one of which goes to the full list of winners and nominees. in all categories.
Panzer says, "As usual no cats were nominated."

Court Orders Amazon E-book Monopoly Lawsuit to Proceed - Publishers Weekly

Today, Panzer's trip into the Catosphere took him to the Publishers Weekly site. There our intrepid kitty traveler found a post about Amazon's ebook contracts with publishers.
According to Andrew Albanese's post, Judge Gregory Woods is allowing the class action lawsuit that accuses Amazon of monopolizing ebook sales and thereby setting ebook prices to continue. This lawsuit originally started in 2021. The post includes links to information from the original lawsuit and subsequent filings.
Panzer says, "This lawsuit is separate from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) lawsuit."

Panzer found an interesting post about AI generated materials at the Writer Unboxed site.
Emilie-Noelle Provost's post begins with an author who submitted an AI written novel, but claimed it as their own. A further check disclosed this author had other already published AI generated novels which the author also claimed to have written. The post then deals with some of the possible ways authors could petition to stop this practice. The post also includes helpful links.

For a while I was working on my Bad Boy Image.Girls really like that whole rebel cat routine.But the more I studied it, the more I could see thatBad Boys and Incredibly Stupid are the same thing. I mean ... Running in front of moving cars ... Baiting the neighborhood dogs ...
I'm just not that stupid. You know ... My Momma Kitty didn't raise no stupid kittens.
Mom, let's drop all that Bad Boy stuff.
At least none that were male ...
Well ... There was my brother Sox ... Ahhh ... None with black fur ...Well ... There was my brother Jinx ... Okay ... None named Panzer.
