Bought a replacement dreamcast and after only one laser adjustment surgery, it fucking lives!! It plays burned games and every legit copy that wouldnt run in my old beat up system. I am so stoked. Playing thru resident evil 3 right now, which wouldn’t load before :)

Got some beautiful reproduction Dreamcast games that were otherwise unobtainable. Only problem is that my old ass dreamcast that lived in a garage for 10 yrs wont fucking read them, despite having a 0 on the bottom (I bought on 9.9.99) so there should be no copy protection. The laser can be finicky and doesn’t play some random dreamcast games, so it’s probably that (I had to adjust the laser on this one when I first pulled it out, so that’s already been done, won’t get any better than it is). I’ve ordered another dreamcast thru ebay that will hopefully let me play these and other legit dc games. Fingers crossed. Why did you make the Saturn so sturdy a d the Dreamcast with such cheap finicky parts, sega?! WHY
