Writing Prompts Week 1
As promised on Twitter, here are a few writing prompts. If you get stuck on your story, follow me on Twitter
@WIPlinoPrompts or @MissMikkiNoble
I’d be glad to help (if I can).
As you may or may not know, I started #WIPlino in November to help writers get through #NaNoWriMo and to share their work if they so wished. Someone suggested I keep it going (I’m looking at you, Alexis Ames) and her we are, five months later. Thank you everyone for your support and without further adieu, here are some...

Caroline Noe
I’ve recently read Caroline’s first book, The Firestone Key, and I have to tell you, not only was this book fast-paced and full of twists and turns, the author is down-to-earth and extremely fun. Today, I’d like to welcome my new friend, Caroline Noe, whom I call Carrie.
MN: Can you tell us about your new book?

New Release: Piggybacker
Hi, there! Today I’d like to tell you a little more about the book I wrote. It’s been a long road to get to where I am and I’ll tell you, it was worth it. Writing a book is one of the best things I’ve ever done. If you’re writing a book, my best advice and most honest advice: Lock the doubt somewhere far, far away from you and just write it down!
Fun fact: Piggybacker started out as a short story for adults and ended up being a full-fledged 90,000 word novel for teens.

Sarah Bailey
Welcome to author interviews. Lately, I’ve realized there are a lot of great authors out there that get buried underneath a pile of rejection letters and self-doubt. Social media is a wondrous thing, but it only gets you so far. Once a month I’d like to showcase a very special author. This week, I have a very special guest, who is not only celebrating the release of her sixth book, Lucifer’s Cage, she is also celebrating the whopping three-oh tomorrow. This is author Sarah Bailey. She’s a swe...

Social media is a wondrous thing, but it only gets you so far. Once a month I’d like to showcase a very special author and this week I was lucky to have my friend Charlie Knight answer some questions about herself.
She’s a sweet soul. Keep reading and you’ll find out for yourself.

Evil Ants
As I think about writing this post, the only thing that comes to me is the taste. It sincerely gives me the willies just thinking about it.
It’s a sweltering July evening. I’m staying with my mother, since I recently moved home from across the country and we want nothing more than to soak in a cool ice bath. Instead, we decide to watch a movie and not move an inch.
“What movie do you want to watch?” Mom asks me.
“I seriously don’t care. Anything,” I answer, reaching into the cupboard and snat...
