Little late with this but... I'M A PUBLISHED AUTHOR!

It has been a crazy week, which is why I'm just now getting around to this update. My debut novel, The Treasured One, came out in all formats on July 9, making me officially a published author. While not much has changed for me yet, I'm well aware that this is an exciting time and that I have much to look forward to. Here's a little introduction to start!

What can you expect from my books? I would describe my writing style as fresh, easy reading with a balance of plot and spice, relatable characters, and gradual relationship development. I'm a big fan of a slow burn and always strive to bring an element of realism to my work, no matter how far-fetched the plot. I enjoy writing standalones for other readers with a short attention span who may not always have the energy for long, intensive series with rich world-building.

Local Events for a Small Author in Northern Virginia/DC Area

With my debut novel coming out in July, I've begun exploring local bookish events where I can meet other reader/writers and book lovers. I'm in Northern Virginia/D.C. metropolitan area--if you have any recommendations, let me know! I've already applied to a couple of conventions and reached out to some local independent bookstores (we love to support local businesses, after all!)

I'm happy to announce that I will be hosting a meet the author/signing event at Barnes & Noble Fairfax, VA on July 27, 2024. Would love to meet some other Romantasy fans in person!  If you're local, consider stopping by--the support is much appreciated. <3

I am AGAIN so incredibly thrilled to make an announcement... this time, that I have signed a contract with Aethon Books (https://aethonbooks.com/) and my debut novel, THE TREASURED ONE, will be published and available for purchase in print and eBook as well as accessible through a Kindle Unlimited subscription in 2024. And So It Begins

I am THRILLED to announce that I have begun the query process for my latest manuscript, THE TREASURED ONE. THE TREASURED ONE is an Adult/New Adult Romantasy that features a slow-burn, banter-filled romance along with adventure, world-building, and political intrigue. It follows the story of Avery, a young American woman with unique healing abilities who must navigate self-discovery, love, and diplomacy in a magical world to unlock the secret behind her powers without inciting a war in the process.

I am seeking an experienced literary agent who is open to serving as a sort of mentor for me throughout my journey to becoming a published author. I am very keen on being published by the likes of Bramble/Tor Publishing Group, Entangled Publishing, or other New Adult romance specialty publishers who are open to giving debut novels a chance.

A Little About Me

Greetings and welcome. For those visitors who don't know me in person, my name is Hannah. I'm a huge nerd living on the East Coast with my boyfriend and our two four-legged rescue children. I've come a long way from writing anime fanfiction and emo poetry as a preteen to the adult Romantasy writer I am today. I tend to have a lot of fun book concepts that don't always make it to paper, but I hope to one day publish traditionally so that everyone can share in the weirdness that goes on inside my brain.

My current manuscript, titled THE TREASURED ONE, is a slow-burn, banter-filled adult fantasy romance about a young woman with healing abilities in a version of our world where a Rift provides a gateway to the fantasy world of the fae. She must navigate self-discovery, love, and diplomacy in this magical world in order to unlock the secret behind her powers without inciting war. It is complete at 100,000 words and features tropes like friends-to-lovers, forbidden love, opposite worlds, a cinnamon roll MMC, and more.
